| Youtube user Scott Manley's semi-recent video on 0.97 introduced me. I was wise to look further into it, because this is honestly one of the most beautiful programs ever created.

| I was looking at space videos, when I saw a kurtjmac video about an interesting simulator. After that I went straight to the website, and the rest is history.

| I was searching for an alternative 3D space simulator to Celestia (which is still pretty good) when I came across this page: http://mashable.com/2012/08/08/space-simulators/
I haven't looked for any others since!

| I was searching for more of Eric Bruneton's work, especially his atomspheric rendering. I was thrilled to find Space Engine using the same atmospheric rendering code, and fell in love with SE right away. IMHO, the common flight simulators (e.g. FSX, DCS, FS9...) should be utilizing Eric Bruneton's type of atmospheric rendering, it pales all of the other sims!
So here is hoping we will see light shafts from terrain and clouds in the future in SE...

I thought that if Internet assholes' capital is so enthusiastic about something it must be really incredible... and it indeed is

| I was following Infinity for a while, I had heard about it in some Freelancer forum, then lost interest, then picked it up again when they made their new website, and I started looking for something similar. Needless to say I downloaded SE straight away when I found it.
