| Quote (Salvo) 2. Make some "translation", for example, if you write "a" it search for a, à, α, but it is not the best way i think smile
That's what my idea was earlier, but you explained it better.
For languages that don't use latin script such as Russian Cyrillic and Greek, that's another problem in itself. Space Engineer would know about Cyrillic vs Latin script.
Edit: Actually, Greek shouldn't be too much of a problem since the Greek letters pretty much correspond to the Latin alphabet. I've seen a couple people here with the Greek flag under their names, so there are people who could help out with that.

| Quote (Solaris) That's great. I hope that will apply to nebulae too, as I already said, differents variety of dust sprites could be also good for the diversity of nebula models Galaxies and nebulae are using the same texture.

I wasn't sure about Cyrillic, but yea, I edited my post saying that Greek has direct latin equivalents.
Oh yeah, what about Arabic? I have no idea how the Arabic alphabet corresponds to the Latin alphabet.

| Quote (smjjames) Oh yeah, what about Arabic? I can't speak for Arabic or any other alphabet. But yeah Latin and Cyrillic are both based on Greek, so there are strong similarities between all three.

| How should Wiki "page" be opened? Players should select the object first. How can object be selected?
Current methods:
1) Directly clicking on it (if player randomly rediscovers that system). 2) Using another player's locations imported from forum (or server in the future). 3) Using search by name (name should be known - from forum or some other way). 4) Using search by ID (ID should be known - from forum or some other way).
Future methods:
5) From list of all objects in the database (maybe useless). 6) Using parametric search (only for objects that are in database), seems like previous with some "filters". 7) Viewing other player's profile and selecting from his discovered objects list.
So the only issue with languages is the paragraph 3. All other paragraphs can be solved if SE will support drawing texts (names) for all languages. Parameters will be displayed in current system language, and some dialogs will have graphical previews of planets.

| Unicode is must have feature. There should be default languge, say English International wich is required to save custom description. Every custom field in record entry should have optional multilang instances. So, like in a real Wiki, you have languge menu somwhere aside of main wiki view, and you can switch to other languge or add new translation. Names can be transcripted or translated through languges, beginnig with the first that named that object. So for example, if I call that star Бетелгез, english transcription will be Betlegeuse, german Beteigeuze and so on... Everyone should have in mind to think on english first.
Realno...

| Seems more like a FAQ, but if it's a question, I think all of those options should be available. Or maybe it was a rhetorical question.
