I like the new loading circle icon.

I also really like the idea of having a progress blog here on the forum biggrin

I like it a lot, it's a big improvement. Though I hope we can still independently turn it off like we can now.

I occasionally stream at http://www.twitch.tv/magistermystax. Sometimes SE, sometimes other games.

I have replace an ugly purple loading progress bar with annoying messages with a small rotating icon near the FPS counter:

These loading messages are still shown in the Debug mode. This info was really needed only for debug purposes, there are many videos on youtube where people forgot to disable the HUD or change it simply with Ctrl-~. I think these rotating icon will look much better and not so annoying as the huge blinking progress bar.

Also I have changed mouse controls a bit.

Left drag - rotate the camera (look around)
Right drag - rotate around the current object (orbit)
Middle drag - change the FOV
Left + Right drag - change the distance to the current object (zoom; works in the Map mode)

Left click - select an object
Right click - select an object and call context menu
Middle click - return previous/default FOV

    Wheel - change speed

The context menu is slightly different for different types of objects. If you select the "Moons" or "Planets" it opens the Solar system browser at the selected object's level (i.e. right click on the planet -> Moon -> a browser with moons of this planet has opened).

Awesome! Left-click drag for look around is much more intuitive. Can't wait!

That is what is already implemented in this version...

I'm excited about the context menus though!

Perhaps an in-game encyclopedia? biggrin (I think this was even mentioned somewhere)

It will open the tab with info at the top-left corner of the screen, just like info table that is drawn every time you select an object, maybe with option of more detailed info, for example procedurally generated description like in Mass Effect.

I think that parameters that could be listed currently in the info but are not should be included, like density, length of solar day, orbital inclination/eccentricity, etc. Maybe also provide support for a custom description written in catalog file smile

Ah, so there's another shortfall of SE running on Wine. I don't have left-click drag look. smile

Clicking and holding the mouse wheel, which zooms in, but lets me look around.

However, updated wine and now left click look around works. Hooray!

SpaceEngineer, what Windows-specific libraries are you using in SE?

No one. Just creating a window and process Windows messages.
