| Retsof, the spites don't work for me. As in, the textures don't load. But they look convincing to me by the screenshots. Nice try anyways!

I assume you put it in the right place and deleted the cache? Er, does the textures not loading mean no change, or that black-square thing I had before?
Also, this will change the galaxy sprites as well, and it doesn't look as good in that role, but I don't know how to fix that.

| Quote (Toty) Current state of development of Star Wars planets addon, including Tatooine, Yavin, Alderaan and Hoth systems. Now for Bespin, Dagobah and Endor to complete the original saga. Then, I will work on the planets of the new movies (Ep 1-2-3) and then the rest: planets of the expanded universe.
Now all we need is a model of the Death Star
Where did the X-Wing model come from?

| I am currently working on 2 projects : the solar system from Kerbal Space Program, (which is nearly done) click here for preview). I might also make some additional exoplanets later.
Added (20.09.2013, 23:43) --------------------------------------------- Toty, I am very sorry if I annoy you by this, but can I ask you, do you still work on your Star Wars addon? If you no longer work on it I would consider finishing it, because I like it very much. I saw Star Wars Episode VI a while ago, and I'd like to see it's planets in Space Engine; even if I have to make them myself
I will be inactive on this forum for the time being. Might come back eventually

| My first try on making a bump map from a 3ds file (I am making a program for this). It works but there's a lot of problems with tiles borders...
If someone have a solution for this...

| Did you taking into account TileRes and TileBorder? Border pixels must duplicate each other on neighboring tiles.

| Yes, my tiles have a 130 pixel width and height, and I put "AddExtraData" to true on the cubemap config. On catalog files, TileBorder=1 and TileSize=130.
I finished my program and it works well. If you have good .obj/.3ds models of asteroids/moons, I can create bump maps for these (I am searching for Hyperion). I have already models for : Bacchus, Epimetheus, Janus, Larissa, Nereid, Pandora, Phoebe, Prometheus and Proteus, but if you have good models, I'll be glad to take it because some of mine are very low res.

| Quote (HarbingerDawn) I'll help you look for a Hyperion model. Doesn't Celestia have a Hyperion model? I'd also like to see proper 3D models for Asteroids like Ida or Eros, and I think Celestia has lots of asteroid meshes.
Added (22.09.2013, 12:52) --------------------------------------------- I have started completing Toty's amazing Star Wars addon. I have already created the Endor and Dantooine systems :
Endor and it's forest moon AKA my new profile picture (small FOV screenshot) Death Star II + Endor Endor + moons Dantooine

| Quote (RockoRocks) Doesn't Celestia have a Hyperion model? All of Celestia's meshes were in Celestia's CMOD format, which we can't use. No software tools exist publicly for converting CMOD to other formats (as far as I know).
I have found tabular format shape model data for many objects, but again I have no way of working with that. Someone would have to come up with a way to convert that data into a mesh that we could use. We need more programmers around here

As I know 3D Object Converter http://3doc.i3dconverter.com/index.html can open cmod and convert it to any format.
