If you're wondering about black hole development, there's this photo of the SpaceEngine Reddit page. Just like he's said, not much has changed about them.

The link is here if you want to see for yourself.

That picture is not accurate, it is edited.

Yeah, the editing mostly revolved around adding a ton of bloom. IMAX cameras are pretty bloomy and all the space scenes really showed it, so I basically tried to mimic the look.

kham132, DoctorOfSpace, anonymousgamer,

Can't you edit bloom settings in one of the config files?

Yeah, but it's not gonna look like that.

You can change bloom settings in the graphics menu.

Are there any plans to fix the slow roll rate of atmospheric craft? Or maybe a way for us to mod it?

I've read somewhere that the bloom in interstellar was done on purpose because audience wouldn't buy the image otherwise. Seeing as it's done for cinematic effect, I'm assuming the crew had to do a lot of tinkering to end up with the right look for the black hole. A program like SpaceEngine just isn't going to do such a thing in real time. Notwithstanding the fact that it's probably not super accurate as well.

I think your best bet would be to use the cinematic effects from a program like sweetFX or something similar.

I love this preview idea and I think it should also be featured in the next update. The only problem is that it's sooo laggy! wacko

Form the auther's preview we can know that there will be a lot in this update, so the next update would probably no earlier than the end of the first month next year wacko remember, the auther is working alone.

Maybe someone think it's a bug. For others that's a feature tongue

all bugs must be squashed

Living among the stars, I find my way. I grow in strength through knowledge of the space I occupy, until I become the ruler of my own interstellar empire of sorts. Though The world was made for the day, I was made for the night, and thus, the universe itself is within my destiny.

While we are at the subject, I have found a weird planet with a kind of checkered pattern.

I think the planet in that image classifies as the least desirable place in the universe to live.
