Are the red fragments artificially constrained to stay on the platform, or did you run the simulation, lock in the fragment paths, then rewind and colour the platform-stayers red?

I ran the simulation, them looked at the ending of it and colored the blocks that stay on the platform red. It's really easy but looks cool.

The clouds were visible all day. That shot was taken about one hour before sunset.

| I've seen iridescent clouds, but never nacreous/pearl clouds, nor such a fine image of them as yours. Truly marvelous, and I bet it was an amazing experience in person.

| Iridescent clouds literally fades in comparison with nacreous clouds which are blindingly bright. That makes them a bit difficult to photograph and get something resembling what's actually seen. The human eye has a large dynamic range, but cameras don't. Here's another picture of the clouds with no post adjustments. The clouds are greatly overexposed, yet the foreground is very dark.
My image also made it to the Optics Picture of the Day.
Nacreous clouds are not very rare here because we are often downwind of the mountains, we see them a few times every winter, but it takes a number of conditions to be right for them to form. This display, however, was one of the better I've ever seen.
The clouds were still there this morning, but disappeared later.

| Nowhere near as beautiful or rare, but kind of interesting atmospheric dynamics wise: an orographic cloud (produced by low pressure on the lee of a steep slope during a windstorm), with vortex shedding.

| So i have been using the hammer editor for probably 2 years now. And at this point i can basically create anything. I compile the maps, run them in half life 2, then use the oculus. And the results are pretty amazing!
And this one just blew me away!

| Received my new lens, a Rokinon 16mm f/2.0, and took it for a test spin:
Verdict: This lens is phenomenal, especially for its price range. Robust construction, smooth manual focus, and crisp resolution over the entire frame. Suffers from vignetting when wide open, obviously, but this is easily remedied with lens profile or flat frames. It also almost completely vanishes when stopping down to f/2.8. The wide angle and light gathering power is great for landscape and night photography -- easily a 3 full stop improvement from my zoom lens. Can't wait to try it out in the countryside when dark moonless nights return.
