| I think this type of thread would make a nice addition to the forum. A place for anyone to show off cool stuff they've done. I'm talking about art, designs, science experiments, home-built contraptions- anything cool or interesting.
There is a space art thread, but that's really specific. I think this thread should be a general "show off your work thread", and I really hope one doesn't exist because I've searched the forum for something like it and couldn't find it.... so I suppose I'll start it, right?
I'm going to start this thread off with a link to my latest "walkthrough video"- it's a design I created (using SketchUp 8) of a space station inspired by Space Station V from 2001: A Space Odyssey (the movie and the book). I call it Space Station VI. (BTW: It's not really space art- it's an architectural/design concept relating to space travel.)
Here it is!
EDIT: Some of my earlier posts in this thread are outdated; links or images I've posted may be gone since I change what's on my website from time to time.

| This is a drawing I've made a few years ago. The scene takes place in an imaginary world called "Veldaki".
Very good idea of topic, werdnaforever.

Thanks!
That's an interesting drawing. Is it from a computer program or is it scanned in? It looks like it drawn in pen and watercolor. Is it part of a larger series of drawings? Also, what does "Thee -1/12 Mathematical Unlimited Database" mean?

Quote (werdnaforever) Is it from a computer program or is it scanned in? This is a pencil drawing, scanned.
Quote (werdnaforever) Is it part of a larger series of drawings? I've made tens of drawings like these. And some texts. But the most important part is in my imagination.
Quote (werdnaforever) Also, what does "Thee -1/12 Mathematical Unlimited Database" mean? This is a pseudo of mine. In an old veldakian language called Nemidu, "Voe Koe Va Ka" means "minus one twelfth"...
And another drawing :

My 21,000 foot "Tower of 3". It's a gigantic, triangular shaped skyscraper. One atrium has a 3000 foot ceiling.

You're a very good artist, I especially liked the second picture you posted. I'm guessing Nemidu isn't a real language- I find constructed languages interesting.
The combination of realistic objects in a surreal scene with a classical feel reminds me of the unique work done by Gil Buvel. His paintings are amazing- perhaps otherworldly.
Maybe planet Veldaki exists somewhere in Space Engine! (You can try to find it, but I can't guarantee that it will take less than many billions of years.)

Quote (Antza2) I wish i could produce something like that, but unfortunately my drawing skills are limited to stick figures Don't worry. Even I, at the beginning, I was thinking that I couldn't draw, and then I started to observe nature and tried to draw it. One of the most important skill it needs is patience. When you start a big drawing, you don't have to stamp it, and if you fed up, stop it and return back later.

Quote (werdnaforever) I'm guessing Nemidu isn't a real language- I find constructed languages interesting. I like conlangs too, and Nemidu is the favorite of mine. This tongue doens't use any adjective or verb, and it's syntax is very special.
Quote (werdnaforever) Maybe planet Veldaki exists somewhere in Space Engine! Veldaky is an entire system. I don't think it could exist in Space Engine because its four planets are flooded in an "asteroid continuum", and the space itself is not euclidian here...

It's not that i lack patience, but i'm actually physically unable to draw better. My Aspergers syndrome reduces my fine motor abilities, which makes even my writing very hard to read. Oh how i envy you
