| Taking a bit of a new direction for music. I learned for the first time what a musical scale is and what a song's key is, and it's already dramatically changed how I do things. I'm currently making a mostly-continuous album, all in the same key (B I think) Prospective title is Five-Foot Space Elevator
Latest WIPs, still pretty rough:

| Believe it or not I do occasionally take pictures of things besides stuff in space I know, right? Anyway I'll start posting my favorite examples of such stuff, starting with some nature photos (click for full res if available).
The first two were taken yesterday, the rest are older.

| Quote (Disasterpiece) I thought you were an arachnophobe? No, not really. I can't look at facial features of spiders or other insects (excepting bees and ants). If I can't see any facial features then I'm ok. With spiders such as that one you can get quite a nice shot without seeing its face.
Besides all that, I just don't like insects and arachnids and I generally freak out around them if they get too close to me (how much I care and how close that is depends on the bug). It's not quite a phobia in most cases, but it can be close. I don't mind bees and ants so much, though I'd still prefer not to touch them.
I am phobic of butterflies and moths (mottephobic).

| Speaking of phobias, I'm sort of phobic of needles and sharp objects, but only when one is facing directly to my eye. I don't mind getting my skin penetrated by a needle when I'm at the doctor's or handling sharp items, but when it's facing to my eye, I just flinch, start winking and get goosebumps. It feels weird. I don't know why!
edit: just realized i went off topic

Do you like to eat seafood; specifically crustaceans, like lobsters or crabs?
EDIT:
in other words, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthropod This includes crustaceans, arachnids, insects, centepedes and millipedes- all these guys are related.
So the next time you eat a crab cake, a shrimp, or some lobster, its almost like eating the guts of a giant insect!
EDIT2 ok I know its off topic... I couldn't resist

| Quote (werdnaforever) Do you like to eat seafood; specifically crustaceans, like lobsters or crabs? I have no problem eating sea-faring arthropods. Saying that eating a crab is like eating a spider is the same as saying that eating a cow is like eating a human.
Quote (Kviki) I'm sort of phobic of needles and sharp objects, but only when one is facing directly to my eye. That makes sense to me, and a lot of people are probably the same way. It doesn't sound like it's a phobia, just a normal, rational discomfort.
