I like to listen all kind of music. But my Top 3 bands would be Aerosmith, Muse, and Slash. I got my first Aerosmith record when I was seven. And last night I saw them live, for the first time. It was amazing. As for the instruments, I play guitar and piano. And I like to write songs every now and then, and they're pretty astronomy related.

Some little-known music I adore:

Genesis by Grimes - Such a brilliant deconstruction of modern pop music videos, and so haunting.

Crayons by Starkid (may he rest in peace!) (Habersham & Numinous remix) - Love those drum rolls.

Give Me Loving by Goloka - Something about the reverb in this track creates a sense of infinite space.

What's a Girl To Do? by Bat For Lashes - I never tire of this music video and its Donnie Darko flavor.

The Seduction of Claude Debussy by Art of Noise - in my opinion one of the greatest albums of the 20th Century.

The Ride by Alec Empire - For when I'm feeling growly!

Excerpt from Tout Le Matins du Monde soundtrack - so archaic and yet dripping with erotic tension.

The Pearl by Brian Eno and Harold Budd - My favorite album of the 1980s, but of course your mileage will vary.

Labccr by Floex - this takes a while to get going, but eventually gets super funky.

Lux Aurumque by Eric Whitacre's Virtual Choir - this always makes me cry.

Nothing Is Real by Makyo - Love those Sheila Chandra soundbites.

Consciousness by Kid Kenobi - Instant mental vacation.

Wednesday by Saiko-Pod - Super funky, this track constantly mutates into ever-greater awesomeness.

Minded Music Sessions 009 mixed by Roald Velden - I sure do love me some Progressive House. The bit at 2:30 just takes me away.

Rescue by ABA Structure

Lost In Thought by John Hopkins - ignore the fact that I made this music video (with some Space Engine shots!) for my friend Lady Wallace as background music for her reading of a Sapphic poem. The track is still awesome.

I strictly listen to classical music and some 'techo' stuff if that is the right genre. Most of the music of today I do not like, most meaning there are still a few composers out there who are good.
