Edit: I thought it would auto-attach this to my previous post, anyways.......

Scratch the previous one of mine, I've found a proper entry, right in the 11 AU club.

No, he is saying that he himself should have read the rules before getting excited about his find smile He is not submitting that star.

By the way, welcome to the forum pauliewaffle, make sure you check out the forum rules.

Thanks. And that's exactly what happened. Realised my mistake after I thought why none of the biggest well known stars were on the list. Oops. happy

I can name my star now, right?

I will call it:

Latissima Et Lit Splendescat

(large and lit brightly, if google translate is working properly)

No, only if yours is the largest known star for 3 days or more can it be named.

Rule 1: It has to be in a randomly generated Galaxy, (IE: Far from the Milky Way)

Is it fine if the star is in a catalog galaxy OTHER than the Milky way and sattelites? I'm just asking because there are more variety of galaxy models among the catalog galaxies (no idea why SE doesn't just use all of the non-custom-texture galaxy models that the catalog ones use).

10.979 AU

I think this is enough for 4th place! It is a binary with a blue main sequence star.

Most of the larger blue stars have a bright giant as their companion, anywhere from 7-11 AU across (good luck finding one larger than 10.5 though, its difficult)
