I was trying to ask if it can be a catalog galaxy that is far from the milky way or if it has to specifically be a random galaxy.

| smjjames, procedural galaxy only. And given the new varieties of models in use for procedural galaxies in this version your earlier issue with that requirement is no longer valid.

| Found one in RG 0-0-0-0!
10.959 AU across,
Red Hypergiant, 6th biggest yet.
RS 0-0-0-0-26447-0-0-0 B (Version 0.9.7)
The Star, its slightly heavier, brighter and bluer partner and their well done through completely scorched planets.
The Outermost planet. It takes nearly 3.5 Earth Days for that 699 Kelvin (No Greenhouse effect) scorching beam of death to reach it 620 AU out at its 1800-year-long orbit.
The Pair's brightness has a nonsensical value though, because the luminosity of the system reads as 1.333*10^5 whilst their combined individual luminosity should equal about 85000. If the first number is correct. I believe it is the brightest star system in RG 0-0-0-0. (which itself has a magnitude of 530 Trillion suns, an absolute magnitude of -32.01)
When viewed from a Parsec away, the system is brighter than a full moon.

Oh yeah, I might also inform you of my technique in finding these stars:
Go to any galaxy.
Turn off the magnitude limit increase.
If it is a spiral, Look so that the galaxy is facing you
If it is elliptical, zoom out to 3 or so diameters away.
Turn the galaxy's model lighting to zero.
Turn stars overbright up fairly high.
Gradually increase the magnitude limit until you see some number of stars.
You now have the brightest N star systems in said galaxy, unfortunately, most of them will have most of the mass consumed by a blue main sequence O2 V about 1/4-1/3 AU in diameter.
This is not true of elliptical galaxies, however, as they tend to have Red Bright Giants as their largest stars.
Once you get about half an order of magnitude above the brightest in a spiral galaxy, the red companion stars and their blue primaries start dimming and getting smaller, this is your cue to go to the next galaxy.
Galaxies with the name RG 0-0-0-X[XXX] ([] means optional) tend to be the largest and most luminous galaxies, with RG 0-0-0-0 being absolute mag -32. I have searched 0-11 for sure.

| Hi all! I am rather new to Space Engine (only got it around 2 weeks back), and have to say it's fantastic (words can't describe its awesomeness!  )
