Finally! I found the system you use for the pictures and testing! Muahahahahaha, the BIG leak ... biggrin ... no? It isn't?

Jokes aside, this is a good thing to have this implemented, I'm more familiar with light years than parsecs ...

I have asked a few days ago if the unit change option will be implemented in the next version and all say no. Now I'm really happy that it will come nonetheless. Its really a pity that my English is so bad and I can not say properly how I like the SE. biggrin

Out of curiosity does the download to that version still exist? I started playing at the end of 0.93 and would have loved to see the precursor. Tis just interesting to see how things have come along. smile

The one who follow SpaceEngine since beginning may remember this: SpaceEngine 0.84 cool

I'm confused; if it's a new feature then why is it on an old version like that? Is this just a UI mockup? (an edited picture)

EDIT:

He's just making a joke, it's a screenshot of 0.84. There is no new feature.

Yes, I don't know of any way to download any version earlier than 0.90 http://sourceforge.net/projects/spengine/
I think everything from 0.94 and after is still available here on the website.

Maybe you could implement this technology to make your worlds more interesting, maybe with structures on them, without being too taxing on the processor -

The SpaceEngineer DID reveal that the 2D system browser shot was from 0.84; click on the 'Spoiler' underneath picture to read.

As for the new choice on units in which to present the object data; I personally would opt for Fahrenheit temperatures, body diambeters in miles, intra-systwm diztances in AU/miles, and interstellar or larger diztances in light years (or kilo/mega/giga multiples thereof)

The biggest problem in 0.9.7.1 is that many terras even with life have very high atmospheric pressure . For example, HIP 107125 5 has an atm of 992.83. The planet even has marine life. Will this bug be fixed in 0.9.7.2 ?
