| Quote HarbingerDawn ( ) Does the system browser show planets and moons simultaneously, and show planets and stars together at the same scale and at whatever resolution and angle you want, and also show asteroids?
So it'll become pretty much useless. That was the whole point.
They let me use this!

| Quote JCandeias ( ) So it'll become pretty much useless. That was the whole pont. No it won't. Think about it for a moment. You can use the system browser on any selected star no matter where you are in the universe. It shows you at a glance the size and temperature of planets and stars, whether they or their satellites have life, and everything is sorted in a nice neat hierarchy that displays no more than you want it to. It also doesn't require reconfiguring the entire system and moving the camera for you to use it.
So the system browser will remain just as useful as it already is.

| All that may be true, but the fact remains that this new visualization tool is much more versatile than the browser. If a browser-like (i.e., orbital) distribution is to be added, it would be relatively straightforward to complete it with all the information we currently get from the browser itself.
The only thing Vladimir couldn't do if he was to swap the browser with this tool would be to check other bodies (and whole systems) while staying put or in the star browser. That means that, for all practical effects, the planet browser would morph into a sort of long-distance scanner.
They let me use this!

| Quote Retsof ( ) So, any chance of asteroids/comets getting more varied terrain? 1) There's not a whole lot that can be done when terrain is only generated at 10 meters per pixel. 2) This is off-topic for this thread. Find a better place to post things like this in the future.

| "Fix" for the warp shaders edge artifact. Method suggested by friend of DoctorOfSpace - mirror tiling. Looks better than current "lines" artifact. Will be fixed completely when I implement enviroment map for warp fields.

Nope. Will be done eventually though, but right now it isn't as important as other things.
