| Hi Doc,
GPU: GeForce GTX 780 (latest drivers)
Win 8.1 running i7-4770K 3.5GHz
16GB RAM
I turned off bloom, that may have helped a little.
All the maps appear to be in the right place... (after all, I am seeing all the other maps)

| If you are using the most recent beta drivers I would roll them back. They seem to cause quite a number of issues.
You should take a screenshot from an angle facing towards a star to see whether or not you have specular. The screenshot is a bit too low resolution and at a bad angle so I can't really see any issues with it.

| I think I got it. Apparently, one must exit then reload SE to replace the map. Rebuilding won't do it.
It's like day and night.
Thank you!

| That's how Destructor's specular should look, so yeah it is working.

| Hi guys, would anyone be able to make the mythological starship Athena?
It's probably something that would be difficult. It's sort of new agey "weird" stuff, as people go to them as a source of spirituality. But the way the ship has been described seems cool. If someone creative could try that, maybe like a sort of crystal like looking surface. http://arcturi.com/ArcturianArchives/InsideTheSpaceShipAthena.html
This is also my first posts and I am an avid lover of space so I look forward to making this "game" or simulation as pleasurable as possible for me. Helloo

| Something really cool would be the EVE Online ships. I've enjoyed the thought of flying a titan through our solar system.

| Quote laiod ( ) Something really cool would be the EVE Online ships. I've enjoyed the thought of flying a titan through our solar system. I've tried it several times, and there are good models out there, but one big problem seems to be the textures. If I download models and try to apply textures, they always look incorrect like this:
(the ship is the Abaddon and I got the model and textures from this tutorial)
I already tried reversing the UVs, with no result. If anyone knows how to get around this, that would be nice :)
Vothriller once ported a lot of ships from dontpanic's 0.96 eve online ship pack to 0.97, that do have correct textures, and porting these ships from 0.97 to 0.97.1 should not be difficult.
UPDATE :Disregard that, It turns out all I had to do was rotate and mirror the texture. The textures work fine now and I will now begin doing EVE online ships. Also. I will be re-releasing an updated Leviathan on my ship thread because it looks like the ship has incorrect textures which can be improved
I will be inactive on this forum for the time being. Might come back eventually

| How do you import ships into the game? I tried following the sticky, but it just confused me too much. Under the downloadable file, the read me just says to paste in SpaceEngine directory, but that didn't seem to work?

| Quote Quote DoctorOfSpace () Here are some screens of ships I haven't released yet or gotten permission to release yet .... [USS VOYAGER] ... DS9 is released but i haven't heard from the Defiant's creator yet on releasing
Sorry, Doc, if I ask you again (I asked you in May), but I'm wondering if there are some news about "USS Voyager" and "USS Defiant" ? Still no permission to release from the author? In your opinion, any hope?
Thanks in advance and sorry, really sorry, to ask you again

There is always a chance I can find another model. Maybe eventually if someone figures out how to port from Star Trek Online or if I can find a nice render model I can get some version of Voyager and the Defiant released.

| Whose Voyager and Defiant are you waiting on permission for?
I might know a way to get a hold of the authors, depending on who they are.

Voyager is the JL Studios one, I emailed 3 people, heard back from 2. One of them said it would be ok to release, the other said he would prefer not. I am not even sure I emailed the right people, there were quite a few listed in the file.
The defiant is LC Amaral's and I never heard back from him.
I will probably wait for the next version of SE to try again. I am hoping I can just make one pak file of all the Star Trek ships to take advantage of the new 0.9.7.2 mod system.
