| The main implication seems to be that "climate change" in the application, however indirectly related to the project, is no longer a magic word for funding. I'm sure they can just rephrase the applications slightly and do business as before, funding being no more or less fragile than before.

| the only thing i hate about him is his science views and that he doesnt believe in it. and his racism. for me there is differences between racism and the terror phenomenas. if you bring 1000 foreigns ppl to your country and even 1 of them doing attack that kills ppl. for me it doesnt worth to bring that 1000 ppl at all at cost of lives. so yes, i prefer not to give shelter to that 1000 ppl if even one of them will take innocent ppl lives.

Sorry, but I'm almost certain the actual percentage of 'foreigns ppl' that commit terrorist attacks is far, far lower than 1 in 1000. There is no evidence for the percentage being anything like that and if it were then there would be probably many, many more terrorist attacks in Western countries annually. And even if this statistic were somehow true, it would still be absurd to do something like that. There are currently about 321 million US inhabitants and there were about 35000 traffic-related accidents in 2015, which means about 1 in 100.000 Americans were killed in an accident that year alone. Does that mean we should ban all motor vehicles and traffic?
I will be inactive on this forum for the time being. Might come back eventually

| Climate change is proving itself to be an even more pressing issue, considering that 2015, the hottest year on record, will be nothing out of the ordinary by 2025.

| Some Extreme Weather Now Reliably Linked to Climate Change Scientists can now readily attribute some weather, such as intense heat waves, to the influence of a warming climate.
Unabated Global Warming Threatens West's Snowpack, Water Supply New study shows a snowline creeping higher in the Rockies, Sierra Nevada and Cascades and the resulting decrease in spring runoff endangers those below.
As Coral Bleaching Goes Global, Scientists Fear Worst Is Yet to Come Warm ocean temperatures are taking an unprecedented toll on reefs in all the world's tropical oceans, including in areas not affected by previous bleaching events.
Historical Data Shows Arctic Melt of Last Two Decades Is 'Unprecedented' Sea ice melting since 1979 is 'enormously outside the bounds of natural variability' and clearly linked to humans burning fossil fuels, research shows.
As Oceans Continue to Warm, Consequences Grow More Dire, Study Says Much of the heat of global warming has been absorbed by the sea, with a steep cost to marine life, ecosystems and the people that depend on them.
Melting Ice Raised Sea Levels More Than Previously Thought, Study Says Relying on tidal gauges in the Northern Hemisphere skewed previous estimates over the 20th century, leaving the world's coasts more vulnerable than expected.
Rapidly Warming Mediterranean Headed for Desertification, Study Warns Even with 2 degrees of global warming, the current global goal, desertification would overtake parts of this lush and vibrant region.
Far From Turning a Corner, Global CO2 Emissions Still Accelerating The latest greenhouse gas inventory from NOAA shows CO2 and methane 'going completely in the wrong direction.'
We're on track for more than 3 degrees C of warming and starting to find more and more that keeping it at 2 degrees was too optimistic.
