| midtskogen, this may be a stupid question, but did several meters of snow fall, or was it just moved by the wind? Also, whenever I think of Norway, I think of black metal. Do you listen to any?

| Mostly wind, I suppose, but it has to come from somewhere. This was in a part where they often get 200 mm precipitation in a few days, and perhaps 3-4000 mm a year.
A lot of black metal bands here, but they're not exactly mainstream. I don't listen to it. When my drying tumbler and centrifuge run at max I don't listen to that either.

| I listen to a lot of metal myself, but generally mainly symphonic and progressive metal. Black metal doesn't appeal much to me either.

I'm more of a fan of metal in the vein of Opeth or Katatonia, but some early black metal can sound very cool. Although a lot of it is just the same song rehashed over and over.

| When used strategically, I can greatly enjoy black metal-style parts in the music I listen to, but when the whole song is in that genre, it doesn't really appeal to me. One of the reasons I enjoy symphonic metal and prog so much is that they are often beautifully varied roller coasters through different styles, instruments, and emotions that never get boring or monotonous. Ayreon, Nightwish, and Delain are among my favourites for this.

| So I was messing around with the CubeMap tool a bit, and I tried to convert a night-lights map for Kerbin to a cubemap, and although it failed at first, it produced this rather interesting tile in the pos_y folder:

| I just got a couple great ideas for new sports:
Game # 1 - Mugball
It's like Baseball, except the goal of the game is to club the members of the other team unconscious with the bat and then take their wallets.
Rules & Guidelines:
- It does not have to be played on a baseball field. It can be played anywhere; in a shady neighborhood, in a parking lot at night, in a complete stranger's house, etc.
- It is not required for the other team to consent to playing, nor do they even need to know that they're playing - they can be challenged completely by surprise.
- Both teams can consist of any number of players, including one-man team(s)
- Score = total number of whole dollars retrieved
- Bonus points (original score * 2) if you use a wiffle bat
- You lose the game and all of your points if you get arrested or beaten-up/killed
Game # 2 - Spikeball
Nearly the same exact thing as Baseball, except the players aren't allowed to wear mitts, and instead of a baseball, they use a tennis ball with nails sticking out. This game is for people who are getting bored of Baseball and want to add an element of danger to it to spice it up.
