It does have a picture of an Apollo astronaut, though.

The science fiction we grew up with in Norway:
Our national broadcaster probably got a lot of stuff from eastern Europa without denting the budget too much. We were still glued to the screen. Science fiction has improved since, though.

Yes, it's geology, geography, anymals, nations, etc. This book is from Czechoslovakia, so apparently it was widely used.

Yes, and unlike the hoax that surfaced not too long ago, this one appears to be real. It also shows you just how limited and uninteresting these things are when built with real technology, compared to the fictional version.

OMG this is my first "scientific" book. It certainly made me interested in astronomy, I was very sad what "space" pages have so little information.
BTW, I really thought that those Interplanetary Stations "Mars" and "Venera" are actually stations, like train station, and me with my parents can visit them
