| Does anyone know of a command line tool that can give me positions for stars for a given location and time? I need it for scripting, so no point and click programs will do. Or perhaps a C or Perl library which will do the calculations?

| Found this children's Soviet era geographic atlas among some books that my wife has from her childhood:
It covers quite a bit: the world, animals, peoples, space expolarion, polar exploration, etc. It's already a historical document.
