I would do it again, the problem with SpaceEngine is that lack of publicity, 99.9% of internet do not know your software and project.

Ah, thx. Then i haven't simply found it. Added it to the game watch.
4 month update for the pledging. Not even as long back. Wonder that i haven't noticed it there before. :?

Only remains now the questions, if the official title of the game is: Space Engine or SpaceEngine.
But donno, if this would count to much to the number of peoples, who found it or not.

The official title is 'SpaceEngine', but it is stylized as Space Engine smile

Hi it's totally your thing but having just looked at the goals I was disappointed to see the end goal being a war game. It's not that I'm opposed to a bit of simulated violent fun it just seemed a disappointing and conventional direction. I find space engine quite inspiring and i'd rather see life appearing on planets than explosions. A pre-existing concept that would be exciting to revisit (for me) would be more like a SIM. There used to be a program called Sim-Earth where you could encourage life-forms and civilisation to evolve. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SimEarth

Hi, I was just thinking whether the additional OS support should be prior or post the game support. I think it would be better for supporters to see more functionality than new OS support. People could donate more than once to get features rather than other OSes. It's usually hard to get funds for OS support. Maybe it would be better to add OS support as separate fund raising campaign ?

Considering the 15k$ were reached on the 21th of April, it's an average of 1000$ per month.

Because nobody wants this site flooded and ruined by ads everywhere.

There is a extension called ''adblock'' . Besides, Space Engine needs funds , with google adsense this site easily can make at least 500$ every month. This site has potential .

Not everybody knows AdBlock exists, and not everybody wants to use it. I heard of some people who know of it but don't use it because it lowers the ad revenues of sites who really need the money just to stay online. This site however, doesn't, because it uses uCoz which is free. And there is hardly any place left on the site for ads, and I don't want the content area smaller just to display some ads. I would still rather donate.

Not that many people visit this site, and some people who do possibly use adblock so I believe placing ads on it would certainly not make $500 a month.

I had to disable adblock on this site because it breaks the post box, at least on my end.

You guys don't need to worry about such things anyway, better funding systems are being worked on. If you really want to help, just donate, any donation of any size is helpful.

Not for me.

Not really, since very small amounts (e.g. <$5) go almost entirely to PayPal, with SpaceEngineer getting little or none of it.
