Considering the 15k$ were reached on the 21th of April, it's an average of 1000$ per month.

I wonder , why this site not registered to google adsense ?

Because nobody wants this site flooded and ruined by ads everywhere.

There is a extension called ''adblock'' . Besides, Space Engine needs funds , with google adsense this site easily can make at least 500$ every month. This site has potential .

Not everybody knows AdBlock exists, and not everybody wants to use it. I heard of some people who know of it but don't use it because it lowers the ad revenues of sites who really need the money just to stay online. This site however, doesn't, because it uses uCoz which is free. And there is hardly any place left on the site for ads, and I don't want the content area smaller just to display some ads. I would still rather donate.

Not that many people visit this site, and some people who do possibly use adblock so I believe placing ads on it would certainly not make $500 a month.

I had to disable adblock on this site because it breaks the post box, at least on my end.

You guys don't need to worry about such things anyway, better funding systems are being worked on. If you really want to help, just donate, any donation of any size is helpful.

Not for me.

Not really, since very small amounts (e.g. <$5) go almost entirely to PayPal, with SpaceEngineer getting little or none of it.

How does that work? If I look at the PayPal website it states:

Quote
There’s no fee to use PayPal to purchase goods or services. However, if you receive money for goods or services (such as from selling an item on eBay), the fee for each transaction is 2.9% plus $0.30 USD of the amount you receive.

Which would mean about $4,50 should be left of a $5 dollar donation. Exact numbers may vary, but not much. Of course, donating a little more is never a bad idea for such an amazing piece of software. When you look at other software available for 15-25 dollar SE is generally in a different league.

But this is not a purchase, this is an international money transfer from a private individual to a private individual. I don't know all the exact details, SpaceEngineer might be able to clear things up.

Private transfers are free, though there might be a conversion cost involved as I imagine most donations are not in ruble. Long story short: donate lots of money and everybody will be happy.

It might be that there's only a fee when donating via credit card, and not when using your PayPal account directly. But I do remember reading about there being fees involved.
