so i tested if it is possible to create accretion discs using nebula models, i have some great results they look great from the side but need a little bit more work from the front:

the goal is to put accretion discs inside the protoplanetary nebulae like the egg or the calabash nebula.

I did that a few years ago, it never quite came out properly.

DoctorOfSpace, it is a really hard thing to make, i don't try to make them realistically looking since i just want to put something in the protoplanetary nebulae.

This is the only screenshot I could find in my album but it also had strange clipping issues

Bambusman, there's a possibility to use your models for procedural nebulae. There's a file called Default.cfg in the data/models/nebulae folder that can be edited

Rodrigo, my nebulae can already be found procedural, it doesn't have to be in the default.cfg.
if you mean that they are generated randomly, i can look if that works, but for planetary nebulae this will be hard.

i've said that i want to work on a realistic visualisation of the nebulae so here are 3 examples,
(the calabash, butterfly and bug nebula)
i actually wanted to upload it as a gif but i had problems with it so here is a video:

by the way this is still wip.

Now that the nebulae are in 0.98, one thing I've noticed is that a large number of these are "blocky" in appearance, especially when viewing from other sides. Is this a bug?
