Copy/pasted from Celestia? I have no idea where I can take trajectory data for them.

I'm going to search it. Maybe I can smile

EDIT: I found it!

Here you have the parameters to construct the Voyager 1 and 2 trajectories
http://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/science/hyperbolic.html

And here you have a database of the trajectories of Pioner 10, Pioner 11, New Horizons, Cassini, Dawn, Rosetta, Galileo, Helios 1 , Helios 2, Juno, Messenger, Maven, MSL, Ulysses, Ice, Giotto and others
http://omniweb.gsfc.nasa.gov/coho/helios/heli.html

It would be awesome to see this on SE! smile :) smile

I noticed that some exoplanets were depicted incorrectly. For example, Planet HD 189733 b is said to be colored blue, but appears brown in Space Engine. Also, some super-Earths are depicted as ice giant planets. I was thinking of adding the Super-Earth and gas dwarf (mini-Neptune) planet categories and having some exoplanets recolored to resemble their currently-accepted official artwork in future versions.

Also, more giant planet moons (like Saturn's moon Methone; Jupiter has 67, Saturn has 62, Uranus has 27, and Neptune has 14), asteroids (like 1998 KY26 and Itokawa, both from Celestia; Mathilde, YU55, Weywot (moon of Quaoar), Steins, Annefrank, Braille, Apollo, Amor, Hidalgo, etc.), and comets (like Giacobini-Zinner, Tempel 1, Grigg-Skeljellerup, Wild (pronounced vilt)2, Hartley, Biela, etc.). Yes, even though Space Engine has more asteroids than Celestia, it left out two asteroids that were featured in Celestia.

I would personally like a shader that makes planets look like planets from pre 0.9.7.2. I liked the old retro style.

Sorry, HarbingerDawn, I didn't know where to put my post. Also I deleted that post because it was off-topic, and I got banned for it.

I can accurately land at this location on my private home world with a script - I want to build my holiday home there - biggrin , but the line of vision is wrong. Is there a method to control this?

Perhaps this question belongs somewhere else? I do not know.

I wonder why anyone had the idea of making real "complete" rockets. Right now you can download Dragon V2 and the SpaceShuttle, but that's just the "last stage".

As soon as SpaceEngineer will implement fuel consuption and "staged" spacecrafts it would actually make sense, now it... doesn't... but it would still be fun going around with an Ariane 5 (my favourite launcher) or with a Falcon Heavy, even if it would be pretty weird and unrealistic happy

(still don't know why everyone is doing this...)

This is something of a meta-request, but...has anyone developed a tool to make editing stars/planets and exporting as a mod simpler?

I've read the tutorials, and had some limited success with them, but the amount of time and headache and different screens I need to have open all at once make it uninviting.

What I tend to use SpaceEngine for is in conjunction with Aurora, so that I can get visualizations and images of the procedural systems generated in the game. I do this in Universe Sandbox as well, which has a much more user-friendly UI for editing, but the visual results are somewhat bland, especially compared to SpaceEngine.
