Does your pallette include your previous tweaks as well?
Always has and always will. Titan update Removed blue/green and replaced with a red/pink one Adjusted contrast colors one to be softer and more blended together Palette is attached to this post All previous edits are in this file. Not all the palettes are by me, many are by other users and I have simply adjusted them or changed them up a bit to be more natural looking. I think with this I am done editing palettes now. I have changed and edited deserts, gas giants, ice giants, terras, titans, selenas, and brown dwarfs. I don't think there is much else to change, unless people have some requests. Palette removed, updated version added.

Messing around with the values and seeing what works, mainly. You just copy-paste another entry, set an approppriate range, and try out some colours.

You can't, you just have to test them and see.

Can't we just put all of the available palettes into single CFG file?

Well, you might not like all of them. I made some unrealistic ones, even a couple that are just jokes (like the golden asteroids). You can have my cfg file if you like, though, it contains most of the palettes in this thread.

Two planets palettes created by mixing the standard Saturn palette with the Neptune palette I made. They're meant to look like planets with yellowish upper cloud layers and more methane-rich blue lower layers.
Code
// Saturneptune Palette { Class "GasGiant" StyleRange (0.00, 0.00) colorSea (0.05, 0.15, 0.45, 1.00) colorShelf (0.05, 0.14, 0.45, 1.00) colorBeach (0.80, 0.87, 0.92, 1.00) colorDesert (0.58, 0.42, 0.27, 1.00) colorLowland (0.05, 0.15, 0.43, 1.00) colorUpland (0.58, 0.42, 0.27, 1.00) colorRock (0.63, 0.60, 0.55, 1.00) colorSnow (0.81, 0.85, 0.89, 1.00) }
Code
// Yellow and blue Palette { Class "GasGiant" StyleRange (0.00, 0.00) colorSea (0.63, 0.60, 0.55, 1.00) colorShelf (0.70, 0.70, 0.69, 1.00) colorBeach (0.05, 0.07, 0.23, 1.00) colorDesert (0.58, 0.42, 0.27, 1.00) colorLowland (0.74, 0.72, 0.69, 1.00) colorUpland (0.58, 0.42, 0.27, 1.00) colorRock (0.63, 0.60, 0.55, 1.00) colorSnow (0.81, 0.85, 0.89, 1.00) }
And a terra with darker colours and blue mountains: // Blue mountains
Code
Palette { Class "Terra" StyleRange (0.00, 0.00) colorBeach (0.82, 0.74, 0.57, 0.00) colorDesert (0.61, 0.44, 0.29, 0.00) colorLowland (0.67, 0.48, 0.30, 0.00) colorUpland (0.42, 0.33, 0.17, 0.00) colorRock (0.12, 0.17, 0.23, 0.00) colorSnow (1.00, 1.00, 1.00, 1.00) }
