This is my try at creating a City World. It could also look like a young highly volcanic terra.

Screenshot attached.

Code
  //City-World
Palette
{
      colorSea       (0.4, 0.3, 0.10, 1.000)
      colorShelf       (0.42, 0.3, 0.1, 1.0)
      colorDesert    (1.0, 0.5, 0.00, 0.000)
      colorLowPlants (0.20, 0.20, 0.20, 0.000)
      colorUpPlants  (0.150, 0.150, 0.150, 0.000)
}

I'm new here and I can't open a new Thread

I have made a program in Java which generate a new Palette.cfg with Random colors, you only have to click o the program file and the Palette.cfg will be create in the same directory where you hace the program, you only have to replace it in SP folder.

Here is the link

Edit: the other link was wrong, now it's good.

I have a question: is anyone going to make a bunch of palettes just for Brown Dwarf stars, or more specifically, the code for adding Y-class Brown dwarf colors?

Could you update the palette? the terra, gas giant, and ice giant palettes are little bit unrealistic, overall is good!

Custom palette updated to Patch 08. This is the "Toty" palette from Page 11, with one of my own additions (the "psychedelic" colors I made for Ice Giants and Gas Giants. I used Planet Palettes to make my changes.

However I had to seriously cull the Titan colors, and a few other classes as well, since multiple enteries had the same style range ("StyleRange (0.45, 0.45)" for example) and the Planet Palettes program only goes to two digits beyond the decimal point, resulting in some of them simply not showing up on their respective classes in the game, as far as I could tell. I might manually add a third digit to the style ranges later on though. :)

I also had to delete the existing Brown Dwarf entries and just use the new ones provided by the original patch 8 palette, so it could work with the new brown dwarfs. :)

Install into Textures>Common, and rename to palatte.cfg. That's it! smile

You never modify the .pak files. Just put it in the texture/common folder. Just make sure that the new palett.cfg is newer than the one in the .pak file, otherwise SE won't load it.
