| Unfortunately, SE crashed when I tried to descend to the planet, so... I'm afraid it will remain in my memory as a lost paradise. =(
Next time I think I'll take two screenshots. One with location and another one without, because when that happens it hurts a lot not to be able to ever find the system again.
There's a huge universe out there...

| more experimentation with emulating chromatic abberation. (Post-processed, not in-game), also added a vignette. Kind of hard to see with the forum's resize, you'll probably have to paste the image url in another tab to see it in full res. If you don't know what to look for, look at the bottom left corner or the top of the gas giant.

| RS 8403-196-9-67174431-170 B3 is a temperate terra orbiting and tidally locked to a brown dwarf that itself orbits and is tidally locked to a red dwarf. On rare occasion both orbital planes intersect as the brown dwarf passes in front of the red dwarf, giving a solar eclipse caused by a star. Because the eclipsing star is a brown dwarf, the eclipse still creates a period of darkness.

| Went looking around for a random planet with life, and this was the first one i found. Not very special, but I think it is good nonetheless. Oh yeah, and first post.
I noted it has an EXTREMELY dense atmosphere, at 425.61 atm. I also noticed that it rotates in ~12 hours, despite being 2 billion years old! View from orbit. View from surface.

| I'm a bit jealous of you guys taking such awesome pictures, lol! I wish my computer could handle using LOD 2 without having problems like what Doctor of Space and Solaris and other do.
*collective screams of all life forms on the planet* (which are probably just bacteria in this case) That's no moon, that's a marauding gas giant!
This gas giant gets within 4 million km of this planet, close enough to be a moon of the gas giant itself, which it isn't.
Having a planet with purplish-red plant life isn't unusual, but what IS unusual is that this planet is around a G7 type star since you're more likely to have green plant life around such a star.
Even LOD 2 doesn't help improve detail by much for a 5km asteroid.

| Quote (Watsisname) "Long is the way, and hard, that out of hell leads up to light." Amazing shot ! Keep them comming! Quote (smjjames) I wish my computer could handle using LOD 2 without having problems like what Doctor of Space and Solaris Hum.. Most of the time, I just can't fully load a detailled landscape with LOD2, and when I can, it take at least 10min Quote (smjjames) This gas giant gets within 4 million km of this planet, close enough to be a moon of the gas giant itself, which it isn't. Really nice shot.
