| Quote DoctorOfSpace ( ) It will be nice when mega structures are officially supported I've also thought of that.
Sometime I want build something like a O'Neill cylinder. Then it would be good if the inside of such a cylinder could be procedurally generated.
And, of course, a disk with a hole in the middle, would also be good!
Don't forget to look here.

| Perhaps it is possible to make a fake O'Neill cylinder. Couldn't you make one the same way you created rings and Dyson swarms?

| I do not know yet how I could make it best.
Currently is that what I have, more like a cigar, or like a Zeppelin, then like a cylinder.

And it looks not at all good.
Maybe I could make a cylinder, from a number of ring segments. But the more segments, the slower my computer!
Don't forget to look here.

That's what I was thinking. 3 chunks of a ring and a back flat piece.

| I am not sure if I understand correctly what you mean, but three segments would be far too few for a cylinder. The rings are only 'flat', because they are not very wide. The broader they were, the more clearly would be the actual spherical shape.
Currently I play with something like this.

It has three segments.
But, as can be seen, it does not work very well.
Don't forget to look here.
