All of these are a view of the same planet from each of its various moons. One of these is my new desktop background. I'll let you guess which one of these that is. smile

Looks like the lighting is off for inside the disc. The back should be lit and the front should be dark. You probably can't fix that though

That's the problem with these things.
What can be seen on the inside, are cloud layers. And SpaceEngine illuminated clouds only on the sun-facing side of a planet.
It's a sphere, in which is visible only the equatorial region.

Most of the texture does not contain pixels and can therefore be made invisible with 'DiffMapAlpha "Transp"'.

ThirdRock, I know it's a little late to be talking about this, but where in SE is the moon orbiting the gas giant you now have as your desktop background?

It's a WIP custom system I made. I'll release it when I'm completely satisfied with my work.

Edit: I've released it.

Hornblower, oh..my..god... the Gas Giants in the first and third picture are so... BEAUTIFUL! (Gas/Ice Giants are my favorite planets)

How did you make these Gas Giants have that many storms?

simonecinque1992, It's a gas giant and a selena moon. You can turn the cyclone frequency up all the way as well as the cyclone density and cyclone octaves all the way to the max value
