Halowraith1, first, the light from the object has started travelling 10+billion years ago, so it is unlikely that it even exists anymore. Second, you can't really make out any shape from the picture, so it is kind of pointless making a model.

Firstly, let's take into account that people are making mods for planets and ships from science fiction, they probably don't exist either.

And anyway, you CAN sort of make out that it's shaped vaguely like a propeller of some sort.

Voekoevaka, One more request! The Cat's Eye Nebula. It's really beautiful and extremely complex, so I think this could be a real challange!
Remember that this nebula has the knowed "cat's eye" and a surround (1st image is the center of the nebula and the second is the surround).

A 3D model of Eta Carinae has been done by a team of astrophysicist

Maybe we could implement this model in Space Engine to show Eta Carinae with all it's beauty one day.

It's impossible to work with a 3D model now in SE. I would like to have suck things in the future :

After, I don't know what the rsape represent : there's no solid limit in nebulae.

Yes, I was thinking of that also. I think the idea is that the surface is a semitransparent glowing boundary created by a more or less defined shock wave. The interior is formed of a intricated cytoskeletal structure made of opaque filaments.
The day SE renders this kind of things and permits complex modelling we are going to know true face-melting awesomeness

Hi, im new here and i am fascinated by the Mods and the Program.
I cant wait for it to arrive at steam...

But i have a question: For some Galaxies/Nebulas here, i need to edit the catalog file... But: How i'm supposed to open the SC file??? I searched the forum using a sort of various quotes but i didn't find anything.

If i oversaw something, sry.

Aaand, if i could post a wish: look @ the Sombrero galaxy.... Its in the "Game" but it did not looks that good:
