| Its possible to find Hot/Scorched or Frozen Terras with unrealiatic temperatures. I dont know yet about deserts and Ice Worlds. Ankaa 9 Is a terra with a temperature burning at 1521.7 degrees F.

| Jonahrf, you mean this system? I believe that the high temperature could be the result of tidal forces calculated between the planet and the moon, given the orbital parameters. Very interesting planet, by the way.

| Quote pile146 ( ) Hello everybody!
I may have a little problem in RC2 build. When I build/create a ship, it is invisible.
Everything is there, and the ship is working fine, selector, stats, pointers, UI etc... but the ship model itself is invisible. Checeked whatever I could in the game settings but found nothing.
I sometimes get the same problem, I think it starts appearing after waiting a minute, more or less. EDIT: This only works for default ships

I know that title forces cause the high temperature.
The problem is the planet should be a Desert, not a Terra. 1521.7°F Is too hot for water to exist on the planet. Water boils at 212°F. So the Planet should be a desert with no water.

Water can boil at a much higher temperature depending on the pressure of the atmosphere...

| well in this case it's around 0.2 atm, so it's the contrary. It could be an ocean of molten silicates, though...

| I was able to get it running and man does Space Engine get more beautiful with each update. I did a good deal of exploring and found a few apparent bugs.
I have found that the lens flare from supergiant stars is strangely cut off when viewed from very close to a black hole and can disappear completely at some angles.

The reflection of the sun seems to be missing from the basins under the ocean of this titan. Unless the rest of the ocean is very shallow, I wouldn't expect these basins to be visible.

Finally, on planets with distant binary suns, one sun will sometimes show through the terrain if the other is above the horizon.

| SpaceEngineer, can you add a check to see if temperature is 100C° at any point in orbit and from tidal heating, then no terra will appear?

| While an upper limit seems reasonable, it should not be 100°C. The boiling point of water varies with pressure. With high enough pressure water can remain liquid up to 374°C. It seems the problem is that planet type is determined before tidal heating is factored in.

I don't believe there is any reason there can't be a terra at 100C°. If the atmospheric pressures are high enough water would remain liquid.

What if there's some chemical in the water that makes it boil at higher temperatures than the pressure and temperature would suggest? Much like Earth's ocean water doesn't freeze at 0 °C due to salt. We have chemical composition of atmospheres now, perhaps we could also have the composition of water in the future, too.
Born too early to explore space... But just in time for Space Engine.

I know that, but I didn't see the screenshot showing the atmospheric pressure. However, I think this could not be water as we know and could boil at a much higher temperature.
