if you do feel like getting into a 3d ftl-like indie game, I'd recommend it.

How can I change the size of the IXS Enterprise to make it a bit smaller?

I have attached the EntD, Voyager, Delta Flyer config file with engines and docking ports (Only the Enterprise D has engine and thruster effects).

I have also attached files for the Type 9 and Danube class shuttles from Klud's threads, these are all setup to dock with each other but they are still WiP, more complete versions will be posted in packs after 0.9.7.4 official release.

I have also sorted these files into appropriate categories but for now I have not shared the required SSS files, these will come later with a more complete release.

Here are a few screenshots of the menu layout for the ships

Attachments: EntD.cfg (6.1 Kb) · Voyager.cfg (0.8 Kb) · DeltaFly.cfg (0.6 Kb) · USS_Orinoco.cfg (1.6 Kb) · USS_RioGrande.cfg (1.3 Kb) · T9shuttle.cfg (1.6 Kb)

i dunno if it's just me, but the City Lights doesn't work with Solar System 3000. It works fine by itself.

Am I doing somethign wrong? The star trek pack doesn't have a zip file. It just gives me a 972Trek.7z file

Use 7z to unpack it. I will be updating this thread soon, next time I wil use .zip instead of .7z.

IXS Enterprise update with fatter rings, the ones I did for SHW's editor with the inner part resized and adjusted, added a grill to the engines in the back to remove ugly color bulbs, rescaled main hull, and added in an engine glow effect.

It needs a few adjustments still but this will probably be the first ship to fully support 0.9.7.4.

Adding detail to the rings so they aren't so bland

Download link and info

IXS Enterprise 0.9.7.4
Changes:

1. Adjusted thrust
2. Uses new PAK system
3. Engine effects
4. Changed rings
5. Added better looking engines

Code
How to install:

Drag the models and textures folders into the main SpaceEngine directory.

How to uninstall:

Navigate to
models\spacecrafts\Addons
textures\spacecrafts\Addons

And delete the IXSModel and IXSTextures pak files

Combined parts, added engine, and ported to SpaceEngine by DoctorOfSpace

Self-made, but not yet published. Look here for other examples.

You should combine it with the method I used for the Interstellar system addon, you might be able to pull off a more convincing disk.

Okay, I wanted a simple way for an accretion disk, but your three-sun method is better, slightly modified. But the jet - two together 'rolled and sharpened' suns - is of course based on completely illegal parameters and looks good only from very specific angles.

Try combining the methods. Maybe you can get the ring to show up inside the corona to add some detail.

Attached 2 optional texture adjustments for the IXS, just a slight change to the ring lights

Should be named hyper_ring and hyper_ring_emis
If you want to use them they go in textures/spacecrafts/addons/Conceptual

I tried. But I'm not satisfied.

And sometimes I get this.
