| Second round!
The next version will have built-in music player (finally it work!). Several musicians have offered their works for the SE. To date, I have accumulated approximately 400 MB of music, here's a list:
Voting chart
link
If it not open, try the direct link:

Second round results
This is an unprocessed table, created automatically by Google Docs. You can download it in the MS Excel format and process (transpose, compute average, sort): link
Download music
Part 1 - 350 Mb (Google Drive) Part 2 - 68 Mb (Google Drive) Part 3 - 11 Mb (Google Drive)
Part 1 - 350 Mb (Yandex.Disk)
There are some problems like mistakes and typos in the file names, and very different volume of various tracks. I hope authors will fox them before release. But the most great problem is that not all of these tracks are suitable for space flying experience. So I purpose you to listen entire playlist (while playing SE!) and choose best 10-15 of them. And of course this will reduce the distribution size (350 Mb of music is too much!). Built-in player will have context switching feature, so there may be a theme for main menu, a theme for interstellar flight, a theme to atmosphere descent, a theme for water planet (let me guess, what ), etc.
We may make s sort of poll. SE site does not support a poll with more than 10 points, so I made a chart using Google docs. You may rate tracks you like with a rank from 1 to 5 (1 - bad, 5 - best). After that, we will choose 10-15 best tracks for SpaceEngine. *

| I'm listening some of them, I'm not going to listen carefully every one of them today, but these are my first impressions:
- Most of songs are ambiental or have a very nice rhythm (example: "SE Subtitle" from 0:40), but some others are too much melodic and we should probably exclude it, they would not fit so good in SE (examples: "Space Theme" or "Flight") - "Ecliptic" might be a nice one to put on main menu, on my opinion - It will be very hard to choose the best
Anyway, they are all nice tracks, especially AstroPilot's one, I like them so much, but it's still to early to give rates
EDIT: Some of you know about Vibrasphere copyright situation? I just love their music

| How about NASA's Symphonies of the Planets (music made from recordings from Voyager)? There were 5 CDs.

| Quote (werdnaforever) How about NASA's Symphonies of the Planets (music made from recordings from Voyager)? 1) It's not nearly as "NASA" or "Voyager" as it's advertised to be. 2) Copyright.
Authentic space "sounds" (not like what you mentioned, but the real stuff) should be used eventually, but as actual ambient sound effects and not as music, and it would be a lot more complicated to implement.

| Despite the fact that I cannot download the ZIP file, I did listen to some of AstroPilots tunes. My impressions:
Gravity Free-4, it is a very nice vacuum theme, but I feel that it is a bit too fast later on Inverted Worlds-5, a perfect planet-with-life theme Hidden Planet-4, again, it is a bit too fast Languor-5, perfect for vacuum Earth Moon-2, I do not want to offend the author, the song itself isnt bad, but doesnt fit SpaceEngine at all In the middle-4, too fast Betelgeuse-3 Night Meeting-4, nice, but I cant see it filling any specific theme Sanctum-Couldnt find this one, sorry

| I added a mirror for the archive to the OP if anyone has trouble with the Google Drive download.
If you can't download from either link, then there is a serious problem on your end and you should try to get it fixed. However at least one of those two should work for everyone.

| Author of these tracks was detected - Yuki-kun: Battle Theme (converted from mp3).ogg Space Theme (converted from mp3).ogg
I have an idea to simplify voting. The gallery have a voting system, so we may create a "gallery" of empty images with file names of a soundtracks, and you can simply choose 1 to 5 stars for each.

| Both are not working
UPDATE: I have tried with different browsers and gotten slightly different results. Opera gives an error message, while Firefox and IE both show a blank page, with no message.
