Antza, which phone is it? smile

The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition.

It's weird that phone cameras can now reach the quality of a DSLR.

I recently had a similar thought about my video camera. The individual frames of a recording have reached the quality of high quality film in SLR cameras of the old days. So it's now possible just to record things and pick the best frame to make good prints. Mechanical image stabilisation has also improved a lot in recent years pretty much eliminating the need for tripods except for long exposures.

I just bought a new video camera as the old one (10 years) had become very unstable. The new one can record in 4K (3840x2160). 1440x1080 in the old camera was useless for prints, and the dynamic range was much worse as well.

Right now i'm using a Oneplus 2 and i'm loving it happy (not a McDonald's ad)
It has the exact same amount of pixels as my EOS 650D, while the optics are obviously not as good.

Agreed

Also, sorry I haven't been on too much lately, I got transported into the past against my will and there isn't exactly a whole lot of WiFi or cell towers here...

Was out looking for moon but couldn't see it, instead I watched some storm clouds roll by so I took a few pictures.

I can know that my weather station logging software wasn't a terrible piece of programming when "ps" tells me:

steinar 11382 0.0 0.1 3644 848 ? S 2014 4:00 /usr/local/bin/owfslog -P /var/run/owfslog2.pid -a -t -Q -d -c /etc/owfslog2.conf -u 1000 -l /home/oww/met/b/log.b

That is, the process was started some time in 2014 and it still runs. smile

ENDEAVOUR - Sci-Fi Short Film

Hi there guys! My name is Brendan McCallion and I am a writer/director from the Republic of Ireland. I am currently crowdfunding for my latest project which is a science fiction short film on IndieGoGo, and I was wondering if anyone would be able to share or even contribute to our campaign which has just newly launched!

Endeavour tells the story of two astronauts who are the sole survivors of a crash landing that was originally sent to colonize an Earth-like planet. Against all odds they take it upon themselves to complete the mission, and bring a new form of life to this new world and start a new stage in the course of human evolution. It's like Adam and Eve... but set in space. biggrin We are very much looking forward to hearing back from anyone who would like to learn more about the project and what exciting things we are hoping to do. But if anyone would like to share or donate then please click the link below.

Endeavour -IndieGoGo Campaign

We have a range of different perks you can choose from, everything from spacesuits, personalised hoodies and even our space laboratory set (we're not joking tongue ). We hope you have a fun time reading through our pitch.

Thanks for allowing me to share this project on this forum, and I also hope you can help us in our own endeavour to make this film.

Sincerely,
Brendan McCallion - Director
