| The forums set another attendance record a few hours ago, this time with 98 visitors. This sure seems a popular place to be lately

| I wonder if all these mysterious strangers knew something we didn't...
I occasionally stream at http://www.twitch.tv/magistermystax. Sometimes SE, sometimes other games.

Whenever I check it always seem to hover between 5 and 20 visitors I've never seen it go above 30, where are these random visitor spikes coming from?

| I still can't think of anything unless we were just mentioned somewhere, or if some thread in some forum came up with SE mentioned in it. It's a nice little mystery.

A thread did come up about 8 days ago in Reddit, but that's all I know of

| Well, it's been in many articles, forum topics and video's. I myself learned about it on Taleworlds, that forum is technically the Mount&Blade forum, but has a large community of gamers who look behind CoD and AC-series. Multiple of these people have tested this program and shared some screenies there. However, I get the feeling that a lot of people don't know this will later be used to build games upon. Anyway, the growing populace probably goes from mout to mouth, like "you should really check this out, it's awesome." etc.

| So I increased the width of my website, since barely anyone really uses 1024x768 anymore, and it's not like I'm the UN or something whose trying to cater to every last human being. What do you guys think? Too wide?
EDIT: I suppose I can confidently say "you guys" on a site such as this
P.S. All hail the Space Engine workers party
EDIT 2: We need something like "the probe" in the Orbiter community - "hailing the probe" is a meme from the Orbiter community based on a small model of a probe which was/is used as a place holder when testing things like payloads for addons.

| Personally I think it is too wide. What is its width? It should probably be no wider than 1200 pixels. Not many people still use 1024 (although my secondary monitor is 1024 and I do like to put web pages up on it sometimes) but a lot of people have displays that are 1280 pixels wide. 1200 leaves a good margin for them.

It's under 1200- its about 1170.
EDIT: I was thinking that 1200 would be the next size up. Also, I know lots of people look at pages in split screen view, but my site is very content heavy, and isn't really meant for that.

| Huh. It just seems a bit wide when I look at it. Maybe I'm just too used to 1024 type pages.

| Quote (HarbingerDawn) Is anyone here active on other similar space sim forums, like KSP, Orbiter, Celestia, etc? I was more active on the Orbiter forum, but SE has far more potential IMO, and replaced orbiter as my favorite space program, and I just feel more comfortable getting to a smaller community; I'm relatively new to online forums (although I think I've gotten used to them). I haven't posted there in a while. I think once the next big release of Orbiter comes out, I'll be more interested in it again.
