| That movie Elysium: It's literally half of space station V, but blown up to stanford torus scale. Kind of like the project I'm working on, but I think it's bigger, and they don't seem to be trying to hide the fact that it's design is literally directly taken from SSV. The four, cylinder shaped arms, the cylinder shaped center with a trapezoid shaped docking area, etc.
It all looks really cool (the sci-fi and concept art), but I think this gives large space stations a bad name, pushing the idea that only wealthy people will ever be able to go into space.

Jarlsberg or milder.
But for breakfast it's always Swedish knäckebröd with Norwegian geitost these days. Things that don't get mouldy and can be made and eaten in a minute.

| As some of you may have heard there's a powerful winter storm moving into New England, possibly one of the biggest ever, and it looks something like this:
and will yield as much snow as this:
To get cm, multiply by 2.54. The estimates have increased since this map was made, so that means up to a meter of snow is possible in many areas. All road traffic has been banned. Massive power outages and coastal flooding are likely, and power will probably be off for a few days at least for those who lose it. So if I go offline for a while, that is why.

| I miss a big snow event. So far the winter has been pretty dry and cold. Just a few snowfalls leaving up to 20cm in a day. Boring. My automatic snow depth sensor currently reports 54 cm which is ok for skiing, but somewhat modest for February here.
Here's me in 2006 struggling to find a place for the snow. Not much to see through the window in the first floor, and the pile began blocking the view of the window one floor up:
I don't want it like that every winter, but not too many years apart either.

That's how I feel too. Last winter we had almost no snow, probably less than 20 cm total for the entire season
