I knew that
The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition.

| Quote (DoctorOfSpace) crackpot Imagine a gigantic pot filled to the brim. It's unstable, and it begins to crack, breaking open at the top and tearing open like a broken dam, the water pouring out like Niagara falls on steroids. Pouring out of the pot, the water hits the grassy ground below. The sound is a giant boom. The pot is nearly cracked in half, but it's so huge, and it's still slowly ripping open like a peace of paper being torn, and the water is already flowing across the landscape like a tsunami- houses being ripped of their foundations like sandcastles being knocked over by the waves at a beach. Before you know it, the flow reaches the nearest city. Water is now pouring through the streets like a disaster movie. You can hear the screams of terrified civilians, many which are quickly silenced mid-scream as they are crushed under the debris from the crumbling, eroding buildings. A news chopper's tail is hit! It spirals out of control and smashes into the street, exploding into a large ball of flame before being swept away by the incoming water. As this new tide continues, it starts to redden slightly from the blood of the broken disfigured corpses floating on top of it.
The pot is almost entirely broken, and almost empty. The water level is now so high that the suburbs are underwater. The tops of the highest skyscrapers are all that remain above the water. A few final civilians drown as the water level surpasses them, their last glimpse of this Earth is a grey, cloudy sky, and a waterline filled with small remnants of civilization and it's inhabitants.

| Quote (HarbingerDawn) warrants All of a sudden, there was a banging on the door, and werdnaforever knew exactly what it was- the FBI. They burst through the door, guns blazing! werdnaforever made for the safe room. He had the data packet with him, but the FBI brought some heavy weaponry. He knew even the trusty safe room might not hold up. Once inside, werdnaforever opened the escape hatch, revealing a long dark tube heading straight down with a ladder. werdnaforever reached into his pocket, pulled out a flashlight, and climbed down the tube, shutting the escape hatch behind him. It was cold, and pitch black. werdnaforever switched on the flash light, and started climbing. He traveled as fast as he could, one hand after another, a nervous wreck. After about a minute of climbing down, he heard a loud boom above him- it was the safe room, now decimated into a pile of steel and rubble. There was no choice now, he'd have to climb all the way down into the sewer, and escape through there. A terrible thought, but there was no choice, no going back. The worst part of all was that the FBI didn't even have a warrant!

| Quote (werdnaforever) (yet more weird stuff from werdna) Is your goal on this forum to purposely try to annoy people, or are you just oblivious? I can speak only for myself, naturally, but I'm getting rather tired of stuff like this.
I can't force you to behave in any particular way, but I can ask that if you want to continue writing weird stuff that it neither directly nor indirectly involve me.

| Nice, but the Halo periodic table went the extra mile and not only restricted themselves to a single universe, but also used only the real element symbols:

| Quote (HarbingerDawn) used only the real element symbols: Wow.
EDIT: I mean wow in a very shocked and filled with awe at Halo fandom manner, not wow in an unamused or sarcastic manner.

| Quote (expando) www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HA3dGrgC_Q Nice project. I'm old enough to have actually written Z80 assembly, but 6502 was more fun. And lots of BASIC.
I wish I could spend a few hours a day for three years on a project of my liking with no prospect of earning a penny...Added (24.01.2013, 13:06) --------------------------------------------- I just discovered that one of my computers just had a two year anniversary.
$ uptime 09:05:19 up 736 days, 10:22, 1 user, load average: 1.28, 1.83, 1.64
I think that's the longest uptime I've had on any system.

| Not very often do you see a low-key government organization like NASA publish an image like this. Should be a clear indicator to people of what's up.
