| That's actually a really good paper figure Harb! 
I really like Sagan and I've read his books and seen some interviews but I really need to get around to seeing all of them, truly an amazing guy, his death was unfortunate and too soon for him in my opinion.

| Billions and billions is half written, he was in the process of writing it when he died. Ann Druyan finished it up and published it.

| I haven't read the book (or heard of either the book or the movie until a few weeks ago :P) but the way they portrayed it in the movie was very unique. The stretching effects were so weird but awesome at the same time. For 1997, those effects were really good.
Here's a clean looping GIF. 
By the way, the other GIF was so small in res to compress it into less than 150KB of space. It can be used as an avatar if anyone really wants to.

| Heres my Carl Sagan anecdote:
A Friend of mine from college did an internship at Harvard Business Publishing. Doing research or something for a book that was coming out. While there, he met a lot of people associated with Harvard around Boston. One of them used to live in Ithaca. Lets call him Barry. During lunch one day (or maybe over coffee), the topic of Cosmos and Carl Sagan comes up between Barry, my friend, and my friend's mentor. Barry says, "Carl Sagan? He used to be my neighbor in Ithaca. He and I would hang out in my backyard and smoke pot together in the 70s."
I understand posting about such things is probably against forum rules, but Sagan advocated its use for limited purposes, and the story doesn't really make sense without it.

| Also, for the more technically minded, there is a very very good book out by Sagan called "Intelligent Life in the Universe"
on amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Intelli....280302X
This book was published before Sagan gained a whole lot of fame. It works through a lot of great examples, and much of it does a good job of foreshadowing some of the ideas he develops in Cosmos and later works.
I highly recommend it for the layman and scientifically literate. Some of the material is out of date but its all thought provoking.

Except for that beast of a hardcove, "Comets" unless its really cheap, cuz it didnt look that interesting >< Same kinda with contact, it starts slow i think :/ but maybe ill get into it. I have a BIG issue with books not written as "Juvenile fiction" ><
I recently picked up "The dragons of eden" :3
Also, I find carl sagan extremely attractive, and his voice sounds amazing. xD
...we share the same birthday...
and of course, the love of astronomy <3
andd i think smart guys are really attractive as well...
Where I live, most people are so debilitated due to alcoholic beverage or other illegal substances that they cannot retain an upward natural sitting-stature on their preferred choice of transportation, be it mechanical or equine in nature. all the time, and I don't think a single person around here knows the difference between "your" and "you're". </forever alone XD>
Soo when people are smart, it's a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE turn on, since i dont get to see that much LOL.
Thank god for the internet.... sort of. Cuz now im addicted ;-; xD
