| Quote Pluto is like every other icy planet. The heat and pressure of being further down into the planet melts the ice. Seen in Titan, Europa, Enceladus, etc.
It is very possible to have the ocean in between the crust and core, suspending the core in an ocean and having it attached to the surface by rock formations. Maybe life?

| well in the other bodies you said horn, they can support liquid water oceans because of the tidal forces with jupiter and saturn. but pluto dont get such strong forces and is also colder. i dont think water ocean can be there. but maybe some other liquid

| Quote steeljaw354 ( ) Well pluto has a big moon. its not that big. but compare to pluto it is big. i really dont know if possible but i think the tidal forces between pluto and charon isnt high enough to form great big heat inside pluto. if there is heat inside pluto that can form water ocean. its probably because of radioactive decay inside pluto core

| Who said it has to be water? Maybe it is liquid nitrogen or ammonia.

And who said it can't be liquid helium, with that logic?
Living among the stars, I find my way. I grow in strength through knowledge of the space I occupy, until I become the ruler of my own interstellar empire of sorts. Though The world was made for the day, I was made for the night, and thus, the universe itself is within my destiny.

| Well, Venus and Mars have liquid lava mantle. No strong tidal forces from moon or sun. Why icy bodies can't have liquid mantle (made of water of course)? If body is large enough, it may sustain large amount of primordial heat and radioactive elements in it's interior to keep mantle liquid. I don't like the term "ocean", because it leads to delusion. "Mantle" is more adequate term here.

| Dwarf moon isn't really a class officially used. I'd say dwarf moons are irregular and non rounded moons.
