| Quote Antza2 ( ) Thanks! I live fairly close to Savonlinna, which is not very north at all. This is impressive! This aurora might be seen in Saint-Ptersburg, however I don't see anything yesterday. I seen aurora only in my shildhood, when I lived in Murmansk.

| The aurora was visible from around Oslo as well, but only barely visible. St. Petersburg lies at the same latitude, so it was likely visible there as well.

| I'm saving up for a iOptron SkyTracer, which is similar but already has a polar scope and a adjustable base, so it's more affordable.

| Watched the Minotaur I launch from Wallops island earlier tonight, delivering 28 CubeSats into orbit. From my location I was looking almost straight down the orbital path, so during the upper stages it seemed to just hang there. Really neat.
Took five 30s exposures and combined:

| Antza2, very nice pictures! You live far out on the countryside I suppose? Quote Salvo ( ) When will the Ison be visible to naked eye? It is visible now, but unfortunately too close to the Sun
