| It seems like there is not very much forum activity. But there is a question I think many of you peoples are wondering about: what is going to be in the next version and what would be a good guess at when it might come out? Don't hate me for asking :P It just means that I care (I don't know if this is the right place to post or not)

| It may be a good idea for SpaceEngineer to update the TODO list and re-organise the list priories to include the next release features. The last time this was updated was on 14 Oct, prior to the 0.95 release.
Quad Core i7 930 CPU o/c 3.8 GHz - 6GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM - ATI HD 5870 1024Mb - Intel SSD X25-M Gen 2 - Win 7 64-bit Add Your PC Spec To Your Signature Or Post It Here

| Well, I am working on spaceships physics now. I broke the camera coordinate system code and made a new implementation, based on 64.64 fixed point numbers (128 bit). It takes a lot of time to remake all of the code. So there will be no NVidia bugfix update - the code already has many major changes and should be called "v0.96"... In this version I want to implement spaceships, basic physics and navigation system; procedural galaxies and nebuale; and probably a particle system for spaceships thrust effect and comets.

| Once these features are implemented. Is there any chance to have a pre-release version for us? Please hehe

| Quote (mustafa2812) oh my god...please let me fly that thing in the next release....please I can't due to copyright... And due to assumed physical realism concept, you will be able to fly on motherships like these.

| yeah i figured...but still that's pretty cool. definitely looking forward to the next release. Aside from adding ships and ship physics into the next release, are there going to be improved loading times for planet textures to increase realism? And did I read correctly that you are delving into procedural galaxies and nebulas?

| Why yes, I would like to cruise around the galaxy in a glorious mothership. Will the piloting be realistic like in Orbiter, or more like an arcade style? Or a selection of the two?

| mustafa2812, I plan to make all that you've said. So the next release will probably be in summer of 2012.
matty406, piloting will be realistic like in Orbiter, but with a more user friendly interface: planned trajectory visualization, click-and-go autopilot (that computes orbits automatically). And with some kind of faster-than-light flight physics.

| Quote (SpaceEngineer) LOL, Star Destroyer's hangar is too small for Delta Glider from "Orbiter" This Is perfect! I have been waiting sooooo many years to get a deltaglider in a game with collision detection and fly it! Will Space Engine be moddable in a way that allows us to take a model from blender or 3dMAX and put it into Space Engine? I have made that picture in your post my desktop background!
