keep it up I hope spaceenger will see this

Just to clarify - SpaceEngineer was given the models and he imported them into the game and posted these screenshots himself - I wasn't involved in the process, just wanted to share them here since they were hidden away on the Russian forum smile Just a taste of what's to come.

Wow, that Star Destroyer looks amazing. It's been so long since a release I almost forgot about this.

There shouldn't be a problem with copyright until you plan to release it commercially, but this could just be "funneled" into the modding community and still have it in game.

I will not include Star Destroyer or any other "space opera" ship in the game - they don't fit the realism criteria.

No. This is subluminal starship. In SE ships will have hyperdrive, so they don't need such huge engines.

I still have a lot of work... Procedural galaxies is not complete, map mode has a lot of bugs, showing the path and bookmarks on the map is not implemented, console and scripts is in process, bug with cracks on planets is not fixed, new terrain features and improving of performance is only in the planning stage, ships are in early stage of development - the physics still has a lot of bugs, with no controls and interface implemented.

why even bother with ships when you have so much work to do with the core engine?
I'd add the whole gameplay thing on for later after the SE's done if I were ya.

Same. I'm only looking forward to the procedural galaxies and bugfixes. Actual gameplay can wait.

I also agree with these statements. Ships sound cool but thats a whole other thing and I would rather see the objects in space improve first.

I have to disagree with the last 4 posters (sorry!) And I will explain why.
1:Space engines graphics are unlike ANY I have ever seen (Orbiter and KSP community will agree on this!)
2:Space enigne IMO isn't Celesta on steroids. Without ships it is essentially Celestra but alot prettier smile
3:Once Space engine gets to a point where ships are implemented I would AT LEAST,minimum, put up a donation system.
4:Of course if ships AND objects are coded together this gives EVERYBODY the best of both worlds, whether you are a object person or a ship physics person either way this will help appeal to ALL fans at the same time especially if there was any Idea by
SpaceEngineer to start taking donations or start charging for updates (Such as KSP for example) and rightfully so considering all the work he has put into this. Alot of people may say "Ah damm deltawing777 why are you talking about paying for it?" Well why not? If Space Engine was your creation wouldn't you? I know I would, something ahead of it time as Spaceengine and as beautiful as this sim is....You damm right I would!

I'm not against the implementation of ships and gameplay. I just think that the focus right now should be put on creating a more complete universe (procedural generation of galaxies and galaxy models, nebulae models and rarer stars like pulsars and hypergiants that right now only exist as catalogued ones) and fixing the program's instability. Gameplay mechanics should be implemented after this update.

I also see how ships and gameplay would launch the game into another level. But I really have to strengthen my point that I would (imo of course) rather see less bugs and faster loading times and maybe an improvement in the procedural generation before I go exploring in a ship. It just wouldn't be the same to be exploring a vast planet in a ship but have to see it constantly loading. Not saying that spaceengineer isn't doing a wonderful job, it just seems that the spaceship gameplay would be much more fun in a more varied universe than the current version. No offense really.
