| SpaceEngineer,I really enjoy the fact that we travel into procedural planets there will be something new in the next versions? (even the current engine is already very amazing)

| I think that at last I will need a Nasa's computer to use this program
The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition.

| The further SE goes into development and eventually completion should we expect it to get heavier on the machines we run it on or will it get around the same details but lesser GPU consumption?

| Quote (lexrazor) The further SE goes into development and eventually completion should we expect it to get heavier on the machines we run it on or will it get around the same details but lesser GPU consumption? If the development trend thus far is any indication, the program will likely become more efficient as development progresses. But new features will also be added that will require more power. So I would expect that the system requirements will not change very much. But only SpaceEngineer can really give an authoritative answer to this question.
But SpaceEngine does not make any outrageous demands on computer hardware. Aside from heavy VRAM usage, there is nothing in the engine that could not be easily run by any decent modern PC. SE runs fine on my computer, and when I started using it all my hardware was medium spec stuff from 2009, and I know of builds older than that that can run it on full, as some members of the forum can probably vouch for.
All forum users, please read this! My SE mods and addons Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2 GHz, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, GTX 970 3584 MB VRAM

| You're probably completely right on that. And i can honestly say im running it on one of the oldies lol. The bad side of my situation is that, as far as i understood, the HP laptops tend to overheat a lot ^^" so i cant really run it for a long time and definitely not on full

| For my sugestion, I think some was already been suggested...
Here goes:
- Volumetric Clouds - Weather Effects like rain and thuderstorms - 3D water with waves - Lava and Volcanoes - Procedural trees and fire - Procedural planet rings (like in Infinity, where the rings are countless little ice asteroids) - Stars animation and better surface - An ingame tool for size comparison (like putting 2 objects, side by side to visually compare sizes and feel how insignifcant we are in astronomic scales) - Anything eyecandy will do!!!
Cheers!
PC: Intel i7 3.2 GHz, 8 Gb RAM, GeForce GTX 680 with 2048 Mb VRAM Laptop: Intel i7 2.3 GHz, 8 Gb RAM, GeForce GTX 675M with 2048 Mb VRAM

| I have an idea that the planet will weather: storms, lightning, rain, and you could see it. Idea seemed hard to do but it will make the game more invested, more wonderful and more interesting. I have another idea: the water will see more real it will also look better. Another idea: that the planets are caves and volcanoes (near volcanoes is basalt and lava) It would also be interesting. These ideas are very difficult to do them.
sorry if my english not good.

| Quote (spacer) sorry if my english not good. smile happy happy happy This is a very international forum, so it's okay.
Anyways, having weather like rain and lightning would definetly be cool, and a future thing as well. The procedural engine already generates cyclones and for tidally locked planets, a giant eternal hypercane.
Volcanoes, definetly, and have there be more of them for moons that are close to their gas giants and experience a lot of tidal heating (Io being a prime example). Also, cryovolcanoes/geysers for those moons and planets that are very cold.

What do you mean by this? Are you talking about sunlight shining through breaks in a cloudy sky?
Also, maybe time to update this? Been almost a year.
