| Will landing gear and/or parachutes be added for spacecraft at some point?

| I just got this idea, leaving it here :
Stars should glimmer when viewed from inside the atmosphere of a planet.

| I have a simple suggestion. Could you have an option to make the camera most at a speed proportional to the distance from the target/closest object? It's annoying zooming in on an object and trying to judge your speed so that you don't zoom right past it. If the camera could slow down as you approach the object, it would be much easier to explore.

| I don't understand. Camera speed movement on a targeted object is actually like this in the latest version. But I don't see how the program could judge what is the intended destination without targeting something, and picking the closest object is not a good option.

| Umm, no it isn't, unless there's some key command for it I don't know about. Another option is the program judging based on the object currently being looked at. You're right, choosing the closest object wouldn't work.

| I'm afraid I misunderstood, if you're referring about zooming as in changing the field of view with PgUp/PgDown keys. With an extremely reduced field of view, if you move towards the object is indeed impossible to judge your position/velocity, just as you were walking around with a pair of binoculars strapped on your eyes.

| SpaceEngineer recently said this about Mac and Linux versions. Someone reported SE working fairly good in emulation with most recent Wine versions. Unfortunately haven't tried it because I've been unable so far to solve my issues with dual Intel-Nvidia card support and my distribution of choice. I guess it will be a problem to be solved even in the expected linux port.

| How far off are the nebula updates? I am quite exited to see unique nebulae and them blending in with the galaxy!

| Looking at
Gameplay:
Server database (work in progress) Network system Spaceship builder with physical testing of construction Cockpit devices: orbital transfer calculator, hyperflight calculator, programmable autopilot, etc. Docking system, remote control of units Economics, harvesting of resources, refueling, building, etc Weapons, combat system Giant alien astroengineering constructions Destruction of spaceships and buildings (modelling of thousands of fragments on the GPU), animation of explosions (gas dynamics simulation on GPU(?)) Advanced physics: jet propulsion, aerodynamics and hydrodynamics Procedural life Procedural civilizations Local database Loading of models (spaceships, buildings, etc.) Internal structure of ships and buildings (indoor-engine) Physics: collision detection, newtonian mechanics Space physics: gravity forces, orbital flight, hyperdrive
Is this for real? I'm kidding of course or you wouldn't put it.
If your going for a potential multiplayer space game I think you can reasonably borrow from various existing games.
Spaceship builder with physical testing of construction: Stardrive to keep it simple
Economics, harvesting of resources, refueling, building, etc Weapons, combat system: Faster than Light may be a good balance in terms of theme and player skill unless you want it to be more action combat.
Procedural civilizations: Stellaris
Internal structure of ships and buildings (indoor-engine): Stardrive 2 has a very simple and effective ship customization designer built into the game.
Keep up great work.

| Check the artist rendering of the Milky Way shown in the time 4:06 of this video. It's amazing. Better that the current SE view, but not much more.

| Looks really nice from the outside, but I think SE's is actually better from near and inside the disk, especially with the dust sprites and star luminosities/distributions.

| Quote Watsisname ( ) especially with the dust sprites and star luminosities/distributions Agree. Maybe it looks better in that artistic rendering but surelly SE is more realistic in the depiction.

| its hard collision system like planet vs planet or sun vs sun but its easily galaxy vs galaxy and planet vs asteroid
and rocks or tree in planet life similiar like earth
The Sun Evolution is look easy but its hard but is a good idea and planet evolution
Planet with 23 Celsiums Can transform into Planet Like earth or Oceania
So In The Future like on 0.9.7.9 (future) or if 0.9.8.0 (future) like in 2019Added (03.08.2016, 22:31) --------------------------------------------- Dont Forget the Proto Sun, Proto Planet this test can be work in 2017 or 2018 with the Solar system but for exoplanets its gonna be hard to do
Like Proto-Earth = just asteiroid to planet same size collide with planet like mars and become the moon, moon and earth Proto-Mars = Planet like earth but asteiroid collide and become Red Desert Proto-Sun = Cold Star to Yellow Star Proto-Jupiter and others gas planet = Just rocky planet to inhale all hydrogen to become Giant gas planet Added (03.08.2016, 22:32) --------------------------------------------- I have idea rogue solar system (found without galaxy) (Like solar system after 3 billion years) Added (03.08.2016, 22:34) --------------------------------------------- Intergalactic Stars in wiki

| Surface components (stones, plants, roads, buildings) Am... Am I actually seeing this right now? Roads and buildings? Wow... This is looking to be one epic space simulator once it's finished.
Also, I am really looking forward to the 3D clouds, better water and more detailed landscapes. Planets would look so insanely gorgeous with those three improvements...
