| Hi all,
I wasn't sure what the appropriate forum was, but I've noticed some people seem to be able to switch back and forth between installs. How do you set this up?
I'd like to test out 0.9.7.1, but I am worried it will lag on my computer (especially after that recent thread were someone reports lags associated with water - my system is not high end, but it runs 0.9.7.0 without trouble, and I don't want to tempt fate). I cannot afford a new computer, and I love SpaceEngine more than anything, so I don't want to lose my 0.9.7.0 installation if 0.9.7.1. turns out not to run properly for me.
I'd like to see these rivers and shield volcanoes on a planet, but not enough to risk losing 0.9.7.0.
How do I have my cake and eat it too?

| Just install it to a different folder. You should never install as an overwrite anyway, it can cause problems.

| Based on this, is it possible to have different aurora palettes similar to planet palettes so that not all aurora of procedural planets look the same? At least now we know that auroras of gas/ice giants are different from those of terrestrial planets so (at least) these two types can be differentiated. Sorry if this has been suggested before.

| Quote neutronium76 ( ) At least now we know that auroras of gas/ice giants are different from those of terrestrial planets so (at least) these two types can be differentiated. Solid and gaseous worlds already have different colored aurorae. But aurora palettes should be possible.

| Hi, guys!
I'm not 100% sure, is it possible to dock my spacecraft with another spacecraft in SE? Thanks!
Cheers, Vincent

| Hi, HarbingerDawn!
Yesterday when I went to the space engine page on Facebook, I clicked on the video called space engine: spacecraft orbit and rendezvous I saw the video I think the mothership with a smaller ship taking off from the mothership orbiting around the moon in SE in the first couple of minutes which I know it's not possible in SE. I didn't see the whole video. Did you see the video? Thanks!
Cheers, Vincent

| Quote Vinny ( ) How do I try out the docking like what you did on the video? I already explained everything in the video. If you didn't understand what I did there then you won't be able to understand any other explanation I give either.

| Hey all, I am new to this wonderful program and I was trying to find some objects such as Alpha Centauri and WR 104 but the F3 search tool does not give me a match. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks Nite
