Here is the actual album https://www.flickr.com/photos/123021064@N05/sets/72157644113972600/
Nobody has made this model yet, or at least made one and released it. This means you probably won't see it in a porting thread. If a model ever becomes available or I decide to not be lazy and attempt to make it then I will definitely release it.

| Could you re-up the Mass Effect ship pack? As far as I can tell, it's the only one that works in the current version. I don't know/care what that other guy was smoking, but if dontpanic's screenshots are anything to go by, I'm not nearly as picky and they'd be fine by me.
Besides, the ship pack is a mod and not a commercial product; if someone doesn't think it's up to snuff then that's their problem and they don't have to download it. But I would certainly like to download it.

Even though it is a common saying, it is still borderline against the rules.

Read my previous post
Quote DoctorOfSpace ( ) The issue is dontpanic released those ships under the limitations of 0.9.6 so he was as close to "perfect" as possible. With 0.9.7.1 you can do multiple textures, specular, and emis maps properly bringing the ported ships even closer to how they were intended to be viewed.
Quote SnakeTheFox ( ) Besides, the ship pack is a mod and not a commercial product; if someone doesn't think it's up to snuff then that's their problem and they don't have to download it.
And this is completely besides the point.
Quote DoctorOfSpace ( ) When you port something or convert something lazily you do a disservice to yourself and to the people who made those models.
There is no reason to port the Mass Effect models in a bad way when the models are all over the internet and can be ported properly.
Some of the ships have been ported properly to 0.9.7.2 by myself and by HarbingerDawn but we have not released them yet. Maybe one or both of us will release them eventually, or RockoRocks will do it.
There have been issues on these forums before with original artists and poorly ported models and so it is common courtesy to give those artists the respect they deserve and to preserve their work as best you can when porting.

That's grasping at straws to a preposterous degree.

You're right, your opinions are beside the point. I am not talking to you, I am talking to the content creator of this thread.

| Being rude will get you nowhere. Your requests will be met with the same answer I just gave you. The models will not be reposted by RockoRocks, myself, HarbingerDawn, or anyone else on the forum.
If you want to continue being disrespectful and rude you won't last long on these forums. Consider that your only warning.
Quote SnakeTheFox ( ) That's grasping at straws to a preposterous degree.
Some people may interpret an implied statement as promotion. Better safe than sorry, so best to avoid such sayings.

You should consider taking your own advice, your interactions thus far have all been distinctly confrontational.
So if I haven't made it clear, I'm simply not fond of interacting with you. So kindly let the content creator give his answer; yes or no, I'd rather hear it from someone more civil.

| SnakeTheFox, DoctorOfSpace has already said this enough to you: no means, no, I am not re-uploading the ship pack, it was broken and low-quality. It had bad specular maps and reflections (they were purple for some reason), they had no emission maps and many models were poor quality.
Low-quality ships will not be released, as this is a disservice to myself and especially the original artists. Sorry.
There may be a new Mass Effect ship pack of way better quality in the future, as DoctorOfSpace already mentioned. But for now there are more than plenty of ships from DoctorOfSpace's, Klud's, HarbingerDawn's and my ship threads.
On a side note, DoctorOfSpace, am I allowed to know what particular ships have already been done? So that I don't waste any time doing them myself as well.

I have a few Alliance ships partially ported, but they aren't finished. HarbingerDawn has basically finished the Normandy and may have started other ships. You should still give whatever ships you want a go as neither of us has plans for a 0.9.7.1 release right now. Currently my projects are aiming for 0.9.7.2 which is why I haven't posted anything in a while, HarbingerDawn may be doing the same.

| Hi guys, would anyone be able to make the mythological starship Athena?
It's probably something that would be difficult. It's sort of new agey "weird" stuff, as people go to them as a source of spirituality. But the way the ship has been described seems cool. If someone creative could try that, maybe like a sort of crystal like looking surface. http://arcturi.com/ArcturianArchives/InsideTheSpaceShipAthena.html
But a large majestic crystal-like ship with maybe a few windows, or anything to show it's size would be awesome!

| With the current engine limitations doing anything that looks like a crystal would be very difficult, if not impossible. I am not even sure what that ship looks like, all the different interpretations for the craft look very different. I assume this has to do with it's shape changing properties?

| No shape changing per se. Just, a sort of ctystal like organic feel. it's mythological so it's really nothing more than the imagination. So I've tried to get a grip on this game, just installed it. How do you use a ship?

You'll have to read the readme file or search the forum for this one. There is more than enough info already on how to use ships.
If ships are too complex you can disable and enable classical control schemes. open console with the ~ key and put in UFO to enable unlimited acceleration and instantly being able to stop your ship, Aero will disable aerodynamics, and Gravity will disable gravitational effects on ships.
