| While checking out some of the real catalog stars I thought this big Clavius-type crater was spooky in the glow from its primary world.
HIP 26616 7

. . . . I see that others have already posted better pictures of double or binary planets where both have rings, but it still seems an uncommon pairing. Here's a pair, one really being the moon of the other, as seen from yet another moon with a nice globular cluster in the background too.
I never found a satisfactory viewing position to get an artistic shot. There are too many things to see in the universe to linger in one place. The exposure is boosted way up. As I recall, the primary star is a dim white dwarf or some such.
Does anyone know if a double ring system like this would really be stable?

| ThirdRock, I know it's a little late to be talking about this, but where in SE is the moon orbiting the gas giant you now have as your desktop background?

| It's a WIP custom system I made. I'll release it when I'm completely satisfied with my work.
Edit: I've released it. Link to the thread in the "Mods and Addons" section of the forum: http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/17-3465-1

How did you make these Gas Giants have that many storms?

| simonecinque1992, It's a gas giant and a selena moon. You can turn the cyclone frequency up all the way as well as the cyclone density and cyclone octaves all the way to the max value

| These gas giants y'all are posting are really beautiful. I love gas giants with bands and cyclones like that, one of the reasons I don't like Uranus.
I found these sedimentary mountains with a view of the ocean way off in the distance:
