| The SpaceEngine has inspired me to create a fictional documentary. It's primary focus is exploring new worlds I've just finished Episode One. It can be seen here:

| That was amazing, can't wait for more episodes. I hope you do a lot more, If you're lacking interesting places to review I have a ton I'd love for you to do, and I could even add some audio facts for you to add into the episodes or something.

| Well, what can I say: That was superb. Truly some very high caliber work there. Well done indeed!
Your video is a great showcase for SpaceEngine and how the engine can benefit film-makers too, in addition to it already being an educational simulator and future game. The production and editing is very professional imo, and the musical arrangement works well too. It was all very fitting. I can imagine it took you quite some time to produce that. Is this just a hobby for you? Or was this film work part of your day job?
I personally think the video is excellent and good enough to be displayed on the SE website's video page to showcase the Engine, and of course, to showcase your skills for such a high quality and wonderfully artistic film presentation
Have you started your next episodic video yet? Is it in development? Because I should inform you now, that the new version of SE is not that far away from release, so your time could be spent/redirected to the new version instead.

| Thank you both very much
I spent just about all my free time this past week creating it, so no I am not doing it professionaly. It has become a passionate hobby though I think I rushed it a bit at the end, and it shows - sloppy cuts here and there which I hope to avoid next time..
You are more than welcome to display it at the website - I would be proud to have it there. I haven't started the next episode yet, and now that you say the new version is out sometime soon, I think I'll wait for that. I'm very curious about what's in store for us all in the next release! It took a lot of time and effort to create, and to keep it fresh I'm probably better off waiting anyway Added (17.10.2011, 17:35) ---------------------------------------------

Sure - You are very welcome to bring your suggestions to the table - and certainly if you have ideas for interesting narratives as well, that's awesome. I can't promise I'll use it, but bring it

Indeed, I think it would make it more interesting if you have little tid-bits from other people just like real space documentaries and such like The Universe, I'll see what I can do, let me know when you plan on making another episode or if you want a place to talk about.
Also about the new version, I don't know when it is coming, it might be a few months and I think that's waiting too long to do another episode.

Allright dude, I'll be sure to let you know. Months, yeah that's too long. Realisticly I'll probably get started on the next episode in about 2 weeks
I've had a look at it and it looks fantastic.

Great! Yeah I'm new here - didn't realise there was a dedicated section for this kind of thing.

| This is great work! I am very proud that my SpaceEngine is used for an educational goal. I'll try to release a new version in a week or two (I have many problems with the engine that must be solved).
So, may I place a link to your movie on to the "Video" page of the site?

Thank you very much Please don't rush the release/overwork yourself for my sake.

Hardts, Have you an archived pre-production of your videos/musics/narrations as well as the post-production? Because if you're not totally happy with some of your film parts, you could always refine those scenes/parts and update them on the video page at a later date - if you so desired. Or leave the film just as it is, it's your call really. I myself keep my pre-production videos archived, just in case I want to refine/improve them later -- Which in my case means most of my videos, as I'm still quite new to all this stuff myself....

| Hi Robbie I do have the preproduction material. What I don't have right now however, is the time. Thanks anyway for the thought, but I think I'm just going to leave it as it is, that way I also don't have to delete my current youtube-video and upload a new one. Could you believe that rendering this video took 6 hours ? Insane that.. No, go right ahead and use the video as it is - I can live with it if you can :).

| Hi Hardts, If you're happy to leave it as it is, we're happy too. SpaceEngineer has already given his consent to use it in its current form so....No problemo...
6-hours to render 12-minutes.... What software were you using for it to take so long? Or does your PC run on steam?

Hahah.. No it's actually a Quad-core with a standard 4 gigs of ram. I use Sony Vegas Pro 10 (which is brilliant, I might add). I think the thing here was that I am running many simultanious video tracks, and it's possibly also because the source material (recorded with fraps) is about 10 mB/s (or 550mB/minute). Take that and add some effects, adjustments and so on, and you get a titanic rendering time..Added (18.10.2011, 22:28) ---------------------------------------------
