Agreed, that seems reasonable. Although we don't know that much more about "real" extra-solar systems then generated ones, I see why you want to keep it real for now though, it would seem kind of weird to go: "This star might not exist! It's just hypothetical"
For real systems, a good one that we have a lot of info on would be Gliese 581, although it's not too interesting and none of the planets there have moons (in spaceengine).
I'll try to look for a cool "real" system though. All my saved ones are generated ones haha.

| Here's a good one.
72 Leo (in the Leo constellation)
Use object finder to find it.
It's my personally found largest star in the Milky way so far. at 12.619 AU Diameter.
If it was where our sun is its surface would extend a bit out past Saturn. It's so large that thermodynamics can't work properly resulting in a strange bulging appearance.
Has some interesting desert planets and moons, two large and different gas giants and on the farthest planet it has a lone Terra moon right on the edge where water can exist.

Gliese-581 has a planet in the goldilocks zone.
I plan to release a new version this week. It will have detailed terrain that will be able to load LOD 0 on 1 Gb video cards. It will have an updated exoplanet catalog (real systems), tidal-locked and ocean planets, dynamic lens flares and even more stuff. So, if you wait some days.....
BTW, in the new version the old places you found will be destroyed, except for real systems.

I have been checking the system out, and I have run into some issues in regards to life support.
Gliese 581 d is the only terra planet in the system, but it is orbiting in the outer regions of the habitable zone.
It does have liquid water, although this must be a substance of different composition than H2O.
Correct me if I'm wrong but at a temp of about -98C, and an atmospheric pressure of about 0.25 Atm, would water not freeze?
I couldn't find an easy way to determine the freezing point of H2O at varying pressure.
I don't suppose gravity has a say in this aswell - I would think not  ?
Then there's Gliese 581 - a very warm desert. There are some uncertainties to it's temperature, but with it's strong greenhouse effect there's a good chance temperatures are as high as 500C (according to WikiPedia) - in SpaceEngine it's just over 190C.
In my eyes, none of these planets are very welcoming 
- Just one more question - I am checking out Gliese 370/HD 85512 as suggested, but I'm not sure I've found it;
"Gliese 370" isn't recognized. HD 85512 I can find, but it doesn't seem to be the same HD 85512 mentioned here: Gliese 370
Or here: HD 85512b- where HD 85512b i described as a 'super-earth' with a mass og approx 3,6 times earth's. In the HD 85512 I can find in Space Engine there is one terra planet which is a small moon orbiting a cool desert (HD 85512 5).
Sorry for all the questions, I just want to know if what I'm looking at is fictitious

| Wait for new version, it has updated catalog of discovered planets, and updated planetary system generation algorithm, that should eliminate the issues with temperature.

I've just visited Altair in the new version 0.95 of SE, and to my dissapointment Altair 8 is inhospitable now :(..
I guess perhaps SpaceEngineer didn't have the heart to tell me that my beloved planet was fiction
Next week I'm going to start working on the next episode.

| You can record a new episode about some real planet - UPS Andromedae d. It is a gas giant within a goldilocks zone - it may have an Earth-like moon. Good place for real Pandora I can make a script that can add some moons to it - and include it in every new release. So your film will stay relevant till astronomers discover real moons for this planet.

| Hardts, let me know what system/planet you want to use for your next episode, I can give some unique facts about it that should be interesting for the viewers.
Also, I was thinking about making my own show perhaps, where I do a mock probe flight to a random star/planet and survey they system and make it realistic. For example Day 2: In space initiating boost towards the target, Day 6492: First telescopic images are taken from system, noticed that system has 3 gas giants, and one terrestrial with liquid water. Day 6550, deciding possible landing mission on terrestrial planet, gas giants also have 2 moons with water. etc.
I think I could make it interesting but I don't know.

Talisman, I think the same... It could be in video, or even a written "board diary" with pictures (don't know if board diary is the right expression, I'm not a native english speaker). I imagined myself (for first-person narrative purposes) leaving Earth in a Spaceship like the one used by Carl Sagan in the Cosmos series, travelling to the nearest stars, and getting farther and farther... It's very expensive, I guess.
