I like StarCraft too, however don't play it long time. HarbingerDawn, we should cross our swords on the battlenet smile (If ping will be good).

I play Onlsaught in the Unreal Tournament 2004 almost every day. I am a skilled player there smile

If by "at times" you mean all the time, then yes. There are a lot of things I dislike about Steam. There are many elements of poor or inefficient design in its interface, it behaves erratically far too often, it will never give you accurate data and estimates about your download speeds and times,

I think everyone has those same problems, regardless of their connection speed. I guess i have just become desensitized to them. tongue

Since we're on the subject, here's my list of favorite games of all time:

My favourite games would be:

1. Age of Empires II
2. Clonk: Endeavor
3. IL-2 Sturmovik 1946
4. Halo: Combat Evolved
5. Mass Effect (all of them)
6. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
7. Minecraft

I've been playing quite a bit of Counter Strike Global Offensive lately.

However I find myself not playing games as much as I used to.

I haven't been able to get a battlenet game going on SC in years (always says too high latency). The only reliable way to play starcraft these days is either physical LAN or VPN. But I'd be willing to try battlenet anyway, I have a few friends that love to play too smile

Btw, HarbingerDawn, I remember you saying that you like aviation and war history. (Correct me, if i'm wrong.)
If so, you really should check IL-2 Sturmovik out. It's one fantastic flying sim. You can get it from Steam for 10€.

I sometimes play SC with my friend from Moscow using Hamachi for VPN.

IL-2 Sturmovik is not a new game, I hear about it back to 2001. "Sturmovik" means "attack plane".

Playing Battlefield 3 from time to time, anybody involved?

I also like to play Neotokyo (we have a small community on the Steam), KSP, and Minecraft.
Recently I bought Skyrim just for some diversity.

Since we're on the subject, here's my list of favorite games of all time:

TIE Fighter (1994)
Starcraft (1998)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998)
Halo (2001)
Mass Effect (2007)

I loved all the Zelda games on the N64 and Gamecube, especially Ocarina of Time (because it was new) and Wind Waker (because I adored the anime style and expansive world). I get misty-eyed whenever I hear Zelda songs on the internet, I seek them out every few months just to feel that wonder again.

My kids and I played through them all together, and cried at every ending.

I still get chills when I hear the Astral Observatory Theme.

Hamachi for VPN.

I recommend using tunggle. It's more stable and has many features, that hamachi does't have smile

IL-2 Sturmovik is not a new game

IL-2 is at least 10 years old, and that shows. There are at least 2 sequels to the original, but i still think that the original is the best one. cool

I know it's not a new game, I meant "new" as in something I haven't played before smile

Are you familiar with Zelda Reorchestrated? They've done some wonderful work with Zelda music, their Ocarina of Time stuff was fantastic. Gerudo Valley turned out especially well, in my opinion.

You're the best! I've been looking for a new VPN client smile
