but not a deep blue color, that proponents of conspiracy theories like to say.

Well I guess NASA obviously edited the images and used masterful photoshop techniques to remove all the alien buildings.

Obviously

What I love is the people who say that they see alien spaceships in NASA photographs, and yet NASA is covering it up. It NASA was covering it up, why would they release the photographs? There was one taken of Hubble from the Shuttle, and there was some reflection in the window, and the guy was like "hey, there's this alien spaceship here, but they cropped the picture so you can't see all of it". If they were going to crop such a picture, then why would they not crop out the ship altogether? The conspiracy theorists never even bother to think about the crazy things they come up with, it's really quite sad.

Or maybe thats what NASA wants you to think, they want you to think they are being sloppy so you doubt everything the conspiracy guys say. Never thought of that did you? tongue

Yeah its a bit silly.

I love to read conspiracy stuff though its quite interesting to see what people can come up with.

I usually can't stand it, because I know that not only do people think crazy things, but that a lot of other people jump on the bandwagon and agree with them. To know that there are so many people out there spreading bs really irks me...

One of the worst conspiracy theorists...tells people nonsense and then sells it to them in the form of lectures, books, and BS movies.

But I think we are getting a bit off topic of the Mars missions so perhaps another topic about conspiracy theories is in order?

Good idea, maybe it will distract from the turmoil in the budget thread...

Somehow I think this thread is going to be less talking about conspiracy theories and more about mocking them. Not that I have anything against that

Obviously the illuminati is having a toilet paper shortage and your bathroom is part of their wormhole stargate network.

Speaking of that there is a conspiracy theory that the US government has bases on the Moon, inside the Earth, on Mars, and around the solar system using something called jump rooms. Basically rooms that teleport you from one place to another.

If you ever listen to Coast To Coast AM be prepared to lose a few brain cells but the sacrifice is worth it usually.

We're in an agreement with other races far more advanced then us, they are allowed to observe as UFO's and take samples in exchange for small amounts of technology. cool

Any sort of agreements would be completely pointless because there would be no way to stop them taking samples to begin with.

One of the more oft mentioned conspiracy theories that really gets me are the ones about HAARP, the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program. People says all sorts of things, like that it's a government weather control project, that it causes floods and earthquakes, brings down airplanes, etc.

None of which is supported by any available evidence, naturally.
