I made an intrasystem or short interstellar colony ship well suited to short journeys of less than 50,000 AU.

I also made an "updated" version of the stock SHW-X ship in the same style as his own update of the Y ship (see the OP of the ship editor thread).

The .json files for both ships are attached.

HarbingerDawn, cool colony ship.
And thank you for recreating X-wing. But looks like you have missed normal map on it.

I'm not sure why the screenshots look strange. I specified the normal map in the catalog and I checked the model in SE just now and the the parts all seem to be mapped normally (lol). It may be the lighting, or it may be that I have texture compression turned off (because it improves the appearance of the ship textures dramatically).

Also, on the X-wing, everything in the back is probably placed 1 unit too far to the rear, but I didn't realize that until the end, and it was so small a mistake that I decided to ignore it smile

EDIT: Here is a different shot of it

I have now also recreated the "reversed ship", also known as SHW-RY. I tried to make the reproduction as perfect as possible without any changes (except to extend a few beams forward so that the shield would be attached to something smile ). The .json file is attached.

The deep space exploration ship "Vega"

Your ship is really interesting. And also I like the name. happy

(DoctorOfSpace)
based on Icarus from Sunshine

(DoctorOfSpace)
Speaking of Icarus here is my attempt:

I really liked the Icarus from Sunshine, and I thought of making it for SE because it fits well with the kind of ships in this game.
Good desings! smile

PS: I have been working in some ships. Today I'm finishing the last of them so I'm going to post them here in a while.

Added (04.01.2013, 23:52)
---------------------------------------------
I was initially going to post 5 ships, but the biggest one (and the one that I have spent more time working on) has disappeared, because the editor saved a 1 kb file that I can't open, so I have got only 4 ships done, so I'm going to post some screenshots tonight.

Added (07.01.2013, 11:56)
---------------------------------------------
Sorry for not posting them, I have got lots of holidays work and tomorrow I start school again. When I have time I'm going to return to SE, make screenshots and post them, and maybe create more ships, but I don't know.
