Hello,

someone should write an English Wikipedia article about Space Engine, so it would get more known and "official".
I can't do this, because my English is too bad.
But I have already written a German article:

Space Engine Wikipedia (German)

I hope someone could do this for the English Wikipedia in this form as well.

I don't know who it was, (maybe Space Engineer biggrin ) but now there is also a Russian Wikipedia article about Space Engine:

Edit: I hope somebody could also write an English article about Space Engine.

No, it is not mine. This article is very poorly written with a lot of spelling and grammatical mistakes. I think it will be removed by the moderators soon...

Ok,
I have translated it with Google into English, so I can read this. Because of that, I don't realize that the quality is low.
In this case, it will be deleted or corrected.

That's a shame, it looks like it got deleted because of unambiguous advertising. I think the article needs to be rewritten in a way that is unbiased and impartial.

I can't call up your wiki article at all on the 'deletion log' page. How Strange. Could there have been a typo in the title or the tag maybe?

I trust you have retained your original content, maybe attempt to rewrite it again...edit the original and make sure it's impartial.

May be they don't like the title. Rename it to "SpaceEngine simulator"?

The problem is: I can't find it on the wiki site at all. Have you seen it there? I can't find it under the 'deletion log' or the 'moved log' section. That's so odd...

Yea it is very strange. It was NOT biased or promotional in any way.
In fact I copied the same format as "celestia" and "universe sandbox" wiki page and just used the information provided on Space Engine homepage to replace the information.
It was flagged for "speedy deletion" by a random user then one of the editors/moderators deleted it for unambiguous promotional excuse.

I saved a copy of the wiki formatted page onto a text file.
I have no idea why the German version is up on the German Wiki but the english one got deleted.

I pasted it here http://pastebin.com/mZjV88xU

It will delete itself in one day.

The difference is, that you copied word for word from the Space Engine main page. Look at this sentences: "Millions of galaxies, trillions of stars, countless planets!" This is advertising and doesn't fit into a Wikipedia article. I think, that the person, who deletes the article looked at this main page and realized, that the text is only copied.
Write a impartial text with your own words and nobody wants to delete it anymore.
Important: Use references for not so obvious statements.

The rest of your text was okay, you must only rewrite the chapters "General" (the first copied text) and "Capabilities". Then, I think, it's okay.

Rewrote it in a form like "Due to procedural content generation, SpaceEngine is able to show millions of galaxies filled with thousands of billions stars each, with tens of planets and moons near each star, rendered in 3D with level of details up to several meters."

I have a question: what do you mean here?

Quote
==Limitations==
* Procedural craters and optical effects

Procedural craters are present in current version. And what lack of optical effects do you mean?

Add the Orbiter to ==See also== smile
